After reaching the caves, you will explore magnificent Ellora with licensed guide. There are three types of caves dedicated to Hinduism, Buddism and Jainism.
The Ellora caves are an impressive complex built between the 6th and 10th century AD near the ancient Indian village of Ellora. These caves have slightly less dramatic setting than those at Ajanta, but they have more exquisite sculptures. It also got carvings about the important mythological stories of Hinduism, which are Ramayana and Mahabharata.
Ellora is a world heritage and the most visited ancient monument in Maharashtra. It takes around 3 to 4 hours to visit the caves.

Daulatabad fort used to be a capital of India in 13th century but the Tughluq felt it was a bad decision to change the capital, so he is called as mad king.
This fort consist of adventurous dark passage, Chand minar which are the highlights of this place.

After having lunch on the way (on your own cost), will take you to the most emblematic monuments of the Mughal capital from 17th century.
This monument was built in the name of love.

Cette petite agence éco-responsable travaille également dans la revalorisation du patrimoine religieux du village de Chartana situé à trois heures de route d'Aurangabad. Cette visite m'a bouleversé par l'authenticité du regard des villageois à notre égard. Nous avons visité de nombreux temples, pris le thé dans la maison du professeur et mangé chez un villageois. Sites are beautiful. Driver drove safe. Guide is booked at elora caves. He had a lot of information about the history. Also the jainism cave are worth seeing. The rest of the sights you explore on your own. Please take note that you need a hat, sunblock and lots of water.

Thanks to Akvin tourism we spent splendid and interesting day in Ellora Caves with enthusiastic local guide and careful driver. We visited Amrut Tirth or Ahilyabai Holkar Talav (Hindu temple nearby) as well, humble Aurangzeb's tomb in Khuldabad and a large Daulatabad Fort. 100% recommendation!

Nous avon passé 3 jours avec Akvin tourism. Vincent notre guide français est un passionné de la région. L'information donnée sur les grottes d'Ellora est complète. Sans lui, l'essentiel des grottes nous auraient échappé. La visite des 3 capitales nous a donné un aperçu de l'histoire d'Aurangabad....

Sans lui, l'essentiel des grottes nous auraient échappé. La visite des 3 capitales nous a donné un aperçu de l'histoire d'Aurangabad. La dernière journée, dans le village de Charthana et de ses temples, nous montre les difficultés de conservation et de restauration de ses temples où les habitants se recueillent encore. Cette journée fut aussi une immersion dans un village où les conditions de vie sont tellement différentes de celles des occidentaux.
