Overview
Trekkers would love the place. It’s bit tiring to do the hiking. But it is definitely worth it. Once you got to the summit you will realize why we said so. The panoramic views it provides with mist and cloud covering the area, especially in the early mornings and the late evenings are something you should witness and that would suffice enough to say that you visited Ella.
Total time for climbing up and down is 4 hours. Yes, sounds like a long journey. But the way up there is with full of diversity. If you are starting form Ella train station, you would enjoy the rail walk, and soon as you started climbing up, you will be passing a waterfall, the rubber tree forest and tea plantations.
On a rainy day, it can be slippery, so better be cautious with what you wear for the journey. Wear something suitable for a hiking and towards the end of the hike, .still manageable.

• 4.00 am -pick up from the Ella For sunrise-tour or • 8.00 am – pick up from the Ella For good morning tour or • 2.00 pm -pick up from the Ella For sunny afternoon tour.

Great hike. The nine arches walk was amazing. The train was epic. The guide had so much knowledge and was so friendly and fantastic at taking photos. The hike up little Adam's peak was brilliant. And relatively easy. Then had the opportunity to zip line. 😁 And then went for a train journey across 9 arches bridge and then on for lunch and then went to a wonderful waterfall before heading home. Er hat uns so viel gezeigt und erklärt und war einfach ein super sympatischer Begleiter. Am Ende hat er uns sogar noch zu einem Wasserfall geführt, der eigentlich gar nicht in der Tour enthalten war. Ein rundum toller Ausflug - vielen Dank!!

Jeewa arrived promptly at 4am, we drove to the start point and then I was given water, a snack and a head torch as it was pitch black. We made our way up the rock - definitely needed a guide as there are no signs and no obvious path - we had time to stop for breaks and arrived with plenty of time for the sunrise, which was beautiful. Jeewa told me many interesting facts about the area, as well as Sri Lanka in general. Afterwards we went for a cup of tea and roti and then back to my hotel, all before 9am.Jeewa our tour guide was very knowledgeable and caring to make sure we were all having a good time and felt safe as we hiked up the Ella rock in the dark with torches! The climb up is strenuous at parts but the views at the top are fully worth it!! It is a thrilling experience... Thank you Jeewa!
