We hired 4 bikes, two teens, aged 16 and 18 and us. I downloaded their suggested route beforehand. When the bikes were delivered to us in the centre of Paso Robles, how to use the bikes and what the route looked like on a map was clearly explained. The electric bikes looked funky and the travel bags on the back were handy to add water bottles etc into. You definitely need the extra power of electric as the route is hilly in places but we all loved whizzing around the lanes on the bikes. We visited Apolo Winery and had lunch there with wine to go with it. Definitely worth doing - we had so much fun!The bikes were super easy to use and the scenery on the West side route was incredible. Dress warmly because in February it does get chilly in those canyons. We rented electric bikes for the day. For a nominal additional cost, bikes were delivered to our house. We rented electric bikes for the day. For a nominal additional cost, bikes were delivered to our house. While the bikes were kind of beasts without electric assist, with electric assist they rode really well. Nice plus to have bike locks and saddle bags. We rode their suggested kiler canyon route which was beautiful, ended up visiting two wineries. Batteries were sufficient to ride all day - on the flats were in 1-2, kicked to 3-4 on the big hills. A fun day outing
