This is an activity event for tourists visiting Japan to casually experience the essence of Japanese culture.
In addition to watching and commenting on a Japanese dance show while enjoying matcha green tea and Japanese sweets, you can also try Japanese-style cosplay, calligraphy, origami, and more.

What to expect
This is an event for tourists visiting Japan where you can casually experience the essence of Japanese culture.
You can enjoy a tea ceremony experience, a Japanese dance show, kimono cosplay, calligraphy, origami, etc. while enjoying matcha green tea and Japanese sweets.
[Tea ceremony experience & Japanese dance appreciation]
A lecture will be given while demonstrating how to make matcha, and you can actually make matcha yourself. Please enjoy it with Japanese sweets.
In addition, enjoy Japanese traditional dance that matches the season while enjoying matcha green tea and Japanese sweets. The choreography that expresses the scenery of the four seasons is explained in a fun way, with occasional quizzes. (with English)
You can feel more familiar with Japanese dance, which you don't usually have the opportunity to experience.
[Calligraphy, origami, kimono cosplay experience]
Calligraphy experience where you follow the model and write your favorite characters using brush and ink,
Origami experience to actually learn how to fold and make a work,
A Japanese-style fitting experience where you can enjoy taking pictures while wearing a geisha or maiko cosplay costume (Please bring your own camera or smartphone to take pictures)
etc. are also available.
As an option, we also offer souvenir goods such as original calligraphy T-shirts and matcha tea sets that you can make on the spot and take home.

Also, you can experience “Shodo (calligraphy)” , “Origami” and “Kimono Cosplay” as well.

This was a really fantastic experience (14/03/23). The staff were exceptional. We learned so much from them about Japanese culture their knowledge was educational and informative. Origami and Calligraphy were engrossing and the staff were so patient, friendly and kind. The Geisha dancing was beautiful and a pleasure to watch we were given an understanding of the significance of the dance and the various movements throughout. This tour was appropriately held in a cultural centre with lovely surroundings. So glad we had this experience and a big thank you and sincere respect for the staff who were with us. Viator please update your travel details for this venue and cultural centre as it should not be missed. We travelled via Subway on the Marunouchi line to stop (M20) Ochanomiza crossed over road, up a stairs to flyover road bridge turned left and then first right at intersection - it was a short distance.R_K

Myself and my kids really enjoyed this. The venue was perfect and the event was very well organized. We all enjoyed the matcha tea making, origami, Geisha dance and dress up, and calligraphy. I rate it 4 stars instead of 5 because the Geisha dance was less than 10 mins and too short to appreciate...
