RECOMMENDED ROUTE
Cascade Locks to Starvation Creek Falls and Viento State Park: This 22-mile round-trip ride will take you over rolling hills and directly past three waterfalls on your way to Viento State Park, where you can cool off in one of the Columbia River's best swimming holes. You will also have the opportunity to park your bikes and take short hikes to Lancaster Falls and/or Emerald Falls along the way.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS RIDE
Experience the best of the Gorge. You’ll see towering firs, sweeping views of the river, and spectacular waterfalls all while zipping along on your e-bike.
Leave the planning to us. We'll send you a recommended itinerary and detailed directions that cover everything you need to know to have a smooth check-in process and unforgettable ride experience.
Escape the car traffic. The five-mile segment from Wyeth trailhead to Starvation Creek State Park is completely car-free — and even the shared road that you’ll ride from Cascade Locks to Wyeth is low-traffic, as most drivers prefer to take I-84. This makes it a perfect ride for anyone who is newer to biking and/or doesn’t feel comfortable navigating high-traffic roadways on a bike.
Cool off in the river. The swimming hole at Viento State Park is the perfect place to take a dip in the river (or soak up the sun) halfway into your ride.

The Gorge is amazing, and this is the best way to see it!! We will be going again next weekend. The views are amazing and the E-Bike was very easy to learn as it was our first time using one.

This exactly the was the kind of exhilarating adventure into nature that I needed! After a long winter cooped up in the PNW rain, I wanted to get out of the city and revel in the absolutely beautiful aspects of living in this part of the country. A zippy ride on an e-bike gave me a huge endorphin rush and brought us to the trailhead for a peaceful, relaxing hike. I am not a cyclist so the e-assist helped me get up some major hills and cover way more distance than I would have otherwise been able to. When our session was over I turned to my partner and asked if we should do it again the next weekend!Rented Ebikes with hubby in Cascade Locks and loved it! Ben was fantastic. He gave us all the information we needed to have a safe and fun adventure. He was very accommodating. He gave us an extra half hour with no charge, because it was a slower day. One of our bikes’ batteries malfunctioned. We gave Ben a call. He came right out and replaced the battery and we were able to finish our adventure. Ben was a great host and we would definitely rent from him again. Next time we’re going to do an all day adventure so we have even more time to explore. My wife and I have completed a number of bike rides while on vacation. My wife and I have completed a number of bike rides while on vacation. Our experiences include rides in other countries (Spain, Italy and Croatia). The “Ride the Gorge” rates very high in our experience. Columbia River tanks up there as one of the best. The weather was perfect and the ride was scenic with roads/paths easy and smooth. There are beautiful waterfalls along the way with a stunning stop at the end (Vienta State Park). There were a number of wind surfers and all were friendly. The e-bikes were well maintained and fit both my wife and I well. (I am 6’7” tall and she is 5’4”.) Ben was helpful and very friendly. We went at a leisurely pace and it took us about 4.5 hours with stops.
