What to expect
After a few hours of ebiking, a gourmet lunch will be brought to your group for a picnic on the beach at Oxbow Park. Your boards will be inflated and ready to Roll on the river when you get there. SUPers can get a work out by paddling up stream or simply float downstream (you can sit or even lay on the board!), and even stop to swim, for 1.3. miles back to your car. The upper Animas River is calm and refreshing, making for a great easy adventure with family or friends. You might see bald eagles as you SUP too. Beginners and kids (6+) welcome!

We rented e-bikes for 3 days and couldn't be happier with the experience! It started with excellent instruction before our first ride along the Animas River. On day two, Claire made an exception and delivered the bikes to our campground outside their normal delivery area. She gave us great recommendations for trails as well as places to eat and visit around Durango. She also added a basket to one of the bikes to make things a little easier to carry. A truly memorable experience! We started our amazing day with clear instructions on riding the quality E-bikes. This was followed by detailed and understandable directions and routes for touring along the river trail, up to Fort Lewis College, along the rim ride and then on to the location for lunch and transition to the SUPs. The bike ride along the river was fantastic and the assist from the E-bikes made it very enjoyable and personalized depending on how hard we felt like pedaling. Claire was very flexible in the timing for the transition. We had a sandwich lunch in the park at the put-in. Following lunch, we were introduced to our paddle boards and then began a leisurely float down the river with intervals of standing, kneeling and sitting on the boards. Booking this activity will truly make any trip to Durango a stand out experience. This was our first experience riding E-bikes and it was so easy and so much fun...we did about 30 miles in two hours, exploring and enjoying the Durango an Animas river scenery. Again, KUDOS to Clare and her team...a very well run operation. They could not be more down to earth and informative I had one of the best bike rides of all time, and I am glad I had an E-bike as the elevation for us lowlanders is difficult at times. I can’t recommend this company more, and I’ve sent it to several friends already!
