Stop At: Bakkaflot, Varmahlid 560 Iceland
The trip begins at our boathouse where our friendly and professional guides will provide you with all of the equipment and information needed for tackling our famous glacial rivers. We provide wet-suits, dry tops, helmets, buoyancy aids /life jackets and rafting booties. All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a warm sweater or fleece and a towel.
Once we are all changed we will then drive you into the East valley to our rafting put in. Our trip leader will give a safety brief with all of the relative safety information needed.
We journey 16 km through the East Glacial canyon. We will tackle rapids named: Alarm Clock, Commitment, Screaming Lady and of course the famous Green Room. Depending on the water levels we will also stop for some cliff jumping for those that feel they need a little more excitement.The bus will meet us at the take out where steaming bowls of hot soup are waiting. After a short 20 minute ride back to the base you can unwind in our hot pools.

- Rafting is a weather dependent sport
- We reserve the right to cancel or change any trips depending on the weather conditions. We also have the right to cancel the trip for people who put themselves or others at danger during or before a trip

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

Great trip with our two early 20s young adult kids. Exciting and fun. Was not as cold as I was afraid it would be. Nepalese guides were excellent and took care of everyone. All were invested in all having a great time. I was concerned that they would not have equipment to fit me because I am a larger size. They did. Lamb soup and hot tubs were an excellent way to finish the trip.This was an amazing trip, even with low water levels in August. All the nepalese guides were very confident, reliable and humorous. This was an amazing trip, even with low water levels in August. All the nepalese guides were very confident, reliable and humorous. They even stayed calm and effective when one boat had all but one men over board. The view in the canyon is absolutely stunning! Warm soup and a great outdoor hot tub for free after the trip. We liked the trip very much. The river has a great IV+ rapid called „Green Room“ (not to be mistaken for a slower rapid in the USA which goes by the same name) - have a look at the youtube videos to get a glimpse of what this trip will be like.Had a blast rafting down the river, with two great guides.
