Overview
If you're interested in creating your own tour through Sintra to visit independently and at your own pace without having to rely on public transportation. We recommend renting an e-car!
We recommend begin at 10.00 AM
Depending on the time that you will be starting your adventure, we advise that you visit at least two monuments. With the E-Car you will manage to visit the inside or outside of monuments such as, Quinta da Regaleira, Palácio de Seteais, Palácio de Monserrate, and Sintra's coastline where you'll find Cabo da Roca.The windswept cliffs of Cabo de Roca were considered the limit of the world until the end of the 14th.
In Cabo da Roca you can also find the oldest lighthouse in Portugal, opened in 1772, as well as a souvenir shop, where, if you like peculiar or unique souvenirs, you can buy a certificate attesting to your passage from the westernmost point of the continent that was formerly considered the edge of the known world.

While in Lisboa we decided to check out the castles in Sintra. When we arrived we were approached by a Go2Cintra member. We rented the E-Cars and had the best time. Truly no better way to see the castles. Tour buses were full and with the E-Cars we had the liberty to stay as long as we wanted. Am...

Two people can fit in this awesome mini electric car, thirty euros per person, and take it around sintra for the day to explore and see all of the sites that a tourist finds on google! Super convenient, VERY easy to drive, and the employees here do a good job explaining how to use the car and keep it eco-friendly. They’ll even map out your day trip in sintra on google maps for you. Definitely giving these guys 5 stars. Wouldn’t use any other method of transportation to go around sintra.petet342

The folks at E-Car could not have done a better job at making our experience more fun and trouble free! They showed us in the maps and guides, the best stops, the entry fees that would provide us the best experience and even recommended an awesome restaurant for our lunch stop! After walking us through the detailed information by using the program guides, they entered each of the stops (including lunch) into my phone's mapping program! All we had to do was get in the car, bring up directions for the next stop, and drive.... It really couldn't have been any easier. This was the most stress-free method of seeing all of the wonderful sites of Cintra that I can imagine. As we drove by the long lines of tourists cued up to get onto another bus, or the folks slogging through the drizzle on bikes, we knew that we had made the right decision. If you are looking for a novel way to see the sights, while maintaining control of your time (and sanity), I would highly recommend renting from them. One final comment. After we returned the vehicle, we asked about any sites in the town and were given a description of several that sounded interesting. After wondering off to visit them, I sent a message back to ask about the location of a particular stop. The response was a map link, allowing us to walk there quickly and easily... Thumbs up for service after the sale! These folks really care about their beautiful city and ensuring that their customers enjoy the experience.Wavejenny14

I really enjoyed my full day rental of the tiny electric car. The staff was super helpful and set the route in google maps for me to get from place to place throughout the day. The places I visited were the Quita De Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Pena Palace, all of which I could have sent more time at. This leads me to tips: there will be many more places on the list they give you that you can reasonably see, I would pick maybe about 3 or 4 but you will be required to follow the route past each location. Cabo da Rocha was my shortest stay (about an hour) but you could spend less time there, I chose to walk along the cliffs so my visit was longer, but if you just want the photo opp, you could be there only 15-20 minutes. The headlights of the vehicle are not that strong so be aware of that in winter when sun sets early. The vehicle doesn’t lock so you can’t leave anything in it from place to place. I wasn’t aware of that or would have brought a bit less items with me. Overall it is a very fun way to explore, just be aware and plan accordingly. Me and my husband rental the e-car for 8 hrs. So much fun to drive and we are very enjoy the driving and the staff is so helpful for direction . We have so much fun on the first two sites taking so many pics and the last two is little rush ( our bad) .
