We return by stopping at the Belvedere of the Terrazza Farnese, from where the Orvieto cliff can be admired in all its majesty and elegance

Arrival at the lookout point where we park the e-bikes. Breathtaking view from where to take beautiful photos. Cross the pedestrian bridge to enter the ancient Civita, visit the village and snack with tastings of local products and wines.

Stop At: Abbey of Saints Severus and Martyrius, SS 71 al km 3 Loc. La Badia, 05018, Orvieto Italy
We stop in the medieval Badia to admire the convent and the Church where we travel 7 centuries of Orvieto history

Stop At: Castel Rubello S.R.L., Localita' Castel Rubello, 1, 05010 Porano TR, Italy
We stop in this 13th century Castle, on the border of the ancient Papal States, around which many battles were fought to defend the territory of Orvieto

Unbelievable way to see the Italian countryside and Civita! Paolo provided both a wonderful tour and incredible insights into the history. The biking is a workout and the e-bikes really help. Bring lots of water and make sure to have a hearty breakfast beforehand. Lunch at the end is very welcome and a fun way to sit by the Duomo in Orvieto and chat with your new-found trip mates. Unbelievable lunch just before you get back to Orvieto. We enjoyed it so much we booked on the evening tour around Orvieto with dinner.

We joined another couple fir theorize and the bikes made it easy for everyone to stay together without having to work too hard. Civita is a very special place and touring the countryside was such a gift. This was definitely a highlight during our timeline Italy!In hindsight, we would have preferred a more leisurely meander through the country side. For us this was a bit long and rushed because the destination was 1.5 hours away. Our guide was personable, but not very attentive.
