Kor was an amazing guide for both the free walking tour and the countryside bike tour. If you can only do one, I 100% recommend the bike tour! It was absolutely magical to be gliding along the canals and fields surrounding Amsterdam. Amazing tour!

We started our day by taking a free walking tour with Sandeman's which was fantastic. Our guide mentioned that he was also taking the Dutch Countryside Bike tour that afternoon. It sounded fantastic so we purchased tickets. The actual tour itself was great and the countryside is beautiful. Our tour, however, was incredibly rushed making it not enjoyable. Our guide, Ilya however, showed us a different side of his personality. From the minute the tour started, we felt rushed and was constantly told to keep up. We stopped for about 10 mins near the windmill where we could take photos. From there we cycled for quite a while before reaching another breakpoint, again at which time were lectured about keeping up, we were told we were too slow and that the tour will not be able to be completed if we didn't hurry up. We stopped in a village about halfway through our tour and were given 3 mins for photos. From this point on we cycled non-stop back to the boat, which took approximately 1 hour at a fast pace. All the while, Ilya, didn't instruct us on the road rules, we had to dodge the traffic to try and cross the roads. Our group ended up separated by several km's. We eventually made it back to the boat where Ilya didn't even acknowledge any of the slow riders. He was clearly annoyed that the group couldn't keep up with him. This tour could have been amazing. I would not do this tour ever again. It would be more enjoyable to hire a bike and explore the countryside yourself.I went on the Free Walking Tour with Jacob and it was GREAT! We took part in 3 other Sademans tours in Amsterdam in the course of 4 days. All were excellent besides this one. While in other tours the guides were super knowledgeable and took great efforts to share information in points of interest, in this tour the guide rushed a 3 hour tour into 2 hours (with a lame excuses of having to serve another tour) and made very few stops where he didn't seem interested in sharing much info. The guide did not even once offer to stop to drink water and just kept racing, seldomly stopping for the slower folks to catch up and immediately continue. Very disappointing service for what would definitely be a lovely tour of the villages near Amsterdam with a company that trys to stand out with a higher quality of guidance. My family of 5 went punctually to the meeting point for the bike tour at 2pm today. My family of 5 went punctually to the meeting point for the bike tour at 2pm today. Met up with a lovely lady who helped us register. After the tourguide, a Russian-US man named Ifran (my dad did not manage to properly catch his name), arrived; he kept suggesting to us to change the tour to another day or to do another tour because of the rain (either boat or red light district, neither of which we were interested as we had already had a canal cruise that explained alot about those). Its understandable that the rain would make the tour unpleasant, but after much deliberation (we were the only people that day), we decided to head on, especially since the rain died down alot. We told him from the beginning that my mother might need a little time as she has weak knees, and he told us that at certain parts of Amsterdam he has no choice but to go quick, which we understood and complied. However, he literally brought us to point A to B, and did not even try to give us a proper tour of the Dutch countryside, simply bringing us to the windmill, helping us take a couple of photos. That was it. The entire tour. We were not fast riders and he did say to provide us with a shorter version of the tour due to the rain but its clear he didnt even bother or want to introduce Amsterdam’s countryside to us. I’ve been on many Sandemans tour across Europe, this is by far the most disappointing. Waste of effort, time and money. Dont go.Our worst experience ever! Please avoid any service from them. Our worst experience ever! Please avoid any service from them. We book a country side bike tour online and pay the fees. We reach the spot 15 mins before the scheduled time. All good so far. Then just seconds before the start, our tour guide tells us that he cannot take us as the minimum people required are 4 for the tour. We were only 2. Bummer! They say they'll refund us the amount. I ask how. To that they avoid answering. I request to be spoken to the manager. After several attempts, I am connected to their supervisor. I request the supervisor to send me an acknowledgement email about my refund. She refuses multiple times and tells me that 'we are a big company, trust us that you'll get your refund'. I still demand an email. After multiple attempts, she sends me an email. I am also being told that I'll receive another email from customer service when they start processing the refund. Its been several days, and I have not received any email from customer service. I have tried to get in touch with the supervisor via call/text/email, but she choose to ignore me. So now, we lost our money, did not get any tour from these people. And the worst part, we lost a day on our trip to Amsterdam!!! Please never book any service from this company!
