We had a blast rafting the Animas with our guide, Harrison! Mountain Waters Rafting and adventure Company did a great job prepping us for the rafting experience. We took a short, HOT bus ride to the site, while Ethan explained the rules and introduced the guides. (We wore our masks for the drive)...
We had a blast rafting the Animas with our guide, Harrison! Mountain Waters Rafting and adventure Company did a great job prepping us for the rafting experience. We took a short, HOT bus ride to the site, while Ethan explained the rules and introduced the guides. (We wore our masks for the drive). Once there, we geared up in our PFD and headed out. The river was cold and fairly low, but we still had some rapids areas, and the guides made the most of the ride, pitting us against other rafts and having splash wars. Our group of eight had 4 kids, and both adults and kids had a blast. That hot bus felt amazing after getting out of the cold water once the sun went down, haha. We will definitely be doing this again! Safety without sacrificing fun!Great experience for the family, including a first timer. River was pretty calm with one class III section at the end. Our guide Jesse was outstanding. Would probably look for a more challenging river next time. Highly recommend for families with young kids.

Check in was easy and all the guides seemed great. Our guide Anna was fantastic! She made sure the kids (and adults) had a great time and even let the kids sit in her captain...
This company was the best! Great communication when our 1/2 day trip had to be moved to 2.5 hours due to low water levels. Check in was easy and all the guides seemed great. Our guide Anna was fantastic! She made sure the kids (and adults) had a great time and even let the kids sit in her captain's chair. My only complaint is that we live out of state and can't do this again. Highly recommend!
