Drag Queen Walking Tour through Sydney's LGBT District
Overview
Sydney's Super-Hero Drag Queen, The Fabulous Wonder Mama, will escort her guests to Oxford St. Darlinghurst's most vibrant LGBT venues including The Stonewall Hotel, The Oxford Hotel, and more.
On our tour, we will learn about the world-renown Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and the characters that help build Oxford Street into the LGBT Hub it is famous for!
Learn about the colorful characters that have been icons on the Sydney scene, activists, entrepreneurs, and even legendary drag queens. You'll be treated to some store discounts too, just for joining the tour.
We will visit some famous stores such as Aussie Boys, The Darlinghurst Bookshop (to name a few), and stopping outside the offices of Sydney Mardi Gras.
We will end the tour for dessert at the amazing MyKiki Waffle House!

Great activity. WonderMama knew everyone and the history of every building. They made sure to stop at places and give us the background of each building and the surrounding areas. One of my favorite events in Sydney.

What a great tour! We had a fun time and learned so much. Going in to local businesses and learning about the recent changes was interesting as well. The waffle at the end was a delight as well. Definitely worth it!

Her humor made the tour so much fun - I’d describe it as fun, campy and very entertaining. She really does show her passion for the community and all the meaningful businesses that is rooted in history for the GLBT movement in Sydney.
