Overview

The Mississippi river is deep in the psyche of St. Louis but it's the people it brought here that cemented our identity. Our Gateway Arch is the physical representation of what the city was for millions: their gateway to the American dream! We will walk from the river up into the city and talk about the forces that have shaped St. Louis from its first indigenous peoples to the forest of buildings that exist now.
