Dolomites - Winter Hiking & Sledding experience from Bolzano
Overview
All you need is a backpack, a pair of winter boots shoes and the desire to discover these fantastic mountains that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition to safety, our primary goal is to hike where there are fewer people, so you can better enjoy the majesty of the Dolomites.
Under our expert guidance, we will hike at a speed suitable for you and your friends, without rushing.
The best part of the day is the return: we can rent a sled and quickly go back to the starting point of the tour. It is fun for young people and adults alike!
Be prepared to enjoy the Dolomites as the locals do and without having to worry about where to go and how to do it. Your guide is a seasoned professional who will know where to take you-just follow him!

What to expect
After pickup at your accommodation, you will transfer by car with your guide to the starting point of the hike. If necessary, we will take a cable car or a snowmobile to quickly reach higher altitudes from where we can hike with better views and wider horizons.
The hike is on easy mountain trails that are covered by the snow and can be more or less challenging depending on your fitness level and weather conditions. Your private guide will choose the most suitable trails for you.
In most cases, we can rent a sled to quickly return to the starting point. It is not difficult to use a sled even if you have never used one before.
In the Dolomites near Bolzano we offer several hikes in the area of "Val di Funes", "Latemar", "Catinaccio" and the famous but crowded "Alpe di Siusi". During the day there is time to stop for lunch.
Once booked, a couple of days before the tour starts, you will be contacted by the local guide to customize the tour and meeting time.
Be sure to bring appropriate winter clothing, gloves, beanie and winter boots. It may be cold, as we are in the middle of winter!

- A maximum of 4 people per booking (children included).
- Possibility to rent a sled to come back (not included).
- Snowshoes or Micro Crampons are not always necessary. Depending on snow and trail conditions, winter boots may be sufficient.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

He did a great job teaching us how to use the snow-shoes, ensuring the safety of our path, and leading us to great photo opportunities! At the restaurant at the top we were able to enjoy a traditional lunch - before sledging back down! This was a lot of fun and very manageable despite no previous experience. He met us in the town of Bolzano, just a few minutes walk from where we were staying, and drove us to the Dolomites for a great hike. He provided the snowshoes, trekking poles, and huge amounts of knowledge about the Dolomites and the trails. We lucked out and got to experience hiking through freshly fallen snow, which was pretty breathtaking. Guido was a great guide and really enjoyable to spend the day with.
