After getting picked up from your place of staying, we will take you to a whole new world of adventure, full of excitement and thrill. Here, you will first experience Riding on a camel and enjoy local tea or tea with milk at the local camel people camp while our desert safari driver prepares the vehicle for the off-road trip. The next step will be thrill dune bashing in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle where you can hear your heart pulse and enjoy the extraordinary views of the desert sand dunes meeting the Arabian gulf water, with few stops to let you enjoy the views from the highest duns at the area and get the opportunity to shoot a good photo to share with friends or family members back home.

I traveled solo on a long layover through Doha. I was skeptical of leaving the airport or not, but I’m absolutely glad I extended my stay to at least 1 night. 4 hour excursion filled with personable, fun, authentic, and a courteous guide. Excursion included camel & hawk activity, sand boarding, beach visit, and sand dune’ing. Talk about having your very own friend along for the ride. Faraz instructed me on the best poses at all locations, great action shots, along with both video, panoramic, and pics all on my phone. Although only in Qatar for less than 24 hours, this 4 hour excursion made it worthwhile and I have the pics on Instagram to prove it!Jennifer_S

Our guide, Khalifa, was very nice and did a great job driving the dunes. He took extra time during our drive to and from to provide information about Doha as well as recommendations about places to eat and things to do during our stay. In the description of our excursion it mentions tea or tea with milk while the driver prepared our vehicle. This amounted to about 5 minutes to drink a small cup of hot tea in a paper cup (while it was 108 degrees outside). No one really spoke to us during the stop and when they showed us the falcons. The camel, falcon, tea stop felt a little like a tourist trap. The actual dune bashing was very short, but enjoyable. There was no mention of, or offer to sand board even though that was one of the reasons we chose this specific excursion. And it was definitely not a half day or 4 hr excursion as advertised. The interior of the Land Cruiser was clean and comfortable. We did notice the tires were not in the best shape and had barely any tread.P8386IYlindam
