Stop At: Chinatown - Bangkok, Yaowarat Road Samphanthawong, Samphanthawong, Bangkok 10100 Thailand

We’ll meet up outside Wat Mangkon station and begin our walking tour. We’ll head to Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Wat Leng Noei Yi). This temple is the largest and most important Chinese temple in the city and was built in the classic Chinese architectural style. We’ll marvel at the intricate exteriors before heading to the inner streets and alleyways of Chinatown. (Note: Wat Mangkon will be closed during the 6.00 pm timeslot, but we’ll still be able to view it from the outside.)

One of the integral facets of Chinatown is its food culture. We’ll wander around the narrow walkways and see vendors selling delicious dishes and snacks such as rolled rice noodle soup, deep-fried dough sticks, fish balls with noodles and fish wontons, and shrimp wontons. Your friendly and knowledgeable foodie TripGuru will tell you about the history and stories behind these delicious eats. Feel free to try these scrumptious foods for yourself to wholly experience Chinatown at its best.

Jin did a great job educating us on the history, customs, and food of Chinatown. Preferred the food cost was not included so we didn’t purchase things we didn’t want or shared other items without wasting. Highly recommend and would do the same tour again when in town.
