Overview
Dive in and discover the wonderful underwater world just off the shores of Tenerife. In crystal clear water you will see the abundant marine life and amazing volcanic rock formations surrounding the island. With a maximum student to instructor ratio of 2:1 will be in very safe hands as you experience your first breaths underwater. The first dive is to a maximum depth of 6 metres and, subject to the successful completion of a few elementary skills, subsequent dives can be to a depth of 12 metres.

What to expect
Itinerary
We start at the dive center, to prepare the equipment and give a briefing on how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater and what to expect. We dive to Los Cistianos where the dive takes place from Las Vistas beach. We walk into the water across a gently sloping sandy beach and some basic skills of SCUBA will be explained to you at the surface. We then make the dive following along a breakwater which provides shelter and therefore a habitat for various marine creatures, which regularly includes sea horses and baby angel sharks! The dive lasts around 40 minutes. Afterwards you can return to the Dive Center or depart from Las Vistas, or a drop off to your hotel can be arranged.

- Diving within 18 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 1 day of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability

We were greeted warmly, given clear instructions on the use of dive gear, what to expect during the experience, were then kitted out with wet suits and driven down to the beach. The lady who met us on the beach, I don't recall her name, Breann? (apologies) but she was fantastic!! Assisted us with our tanks, flippers etc and helped my fiancée to stay calm, took it steady and guided us down slowly to a depth of 10m. My fiancée had a moment of panic/confusion at around 7m down, the instructor noticed straight away, took action and calmly guiding her up to the surface and jokingly defused the situation. This gave her the confidence to continue on. Without the quick whit of the instructor, It's likely my fiancée would have been put off the sport for good given her initial fears of diving in. We saw some marine life, but mostly concentrated on getting the basics rights. 40mins in the water flashed by in what felt like 15. We sincerely look forward to our return visit!Nomad824721

We booked a course to experience diving for the first time, this was an amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our instructor Jacob was very friendly through the experience and knows the waters very well (even where some of the amazing animals you can see, he knew where they were hiding) for a beginner course you actually do some legit diving not like other diving schools available on the island since they kept mostly to the shore. After the diving experience he even offered us a beer and we had a great chat with the staff. Honestly the most hospital experience I ever had. I would definitely recommend getting a brevet here if you do enjoy diving! And would do the same if I ever visit tenerif again and do not have it already.
