The Archaeological Park of Dion is the most important archaeological site at Mount Olympus in Greece, located in Dion (Greek: Δίον). In the area comprised by the Archaeological Park of Dion, sanctuaries were found from the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The park displays the importance of ancient Dion in the history of Pieria.

The Monastery of Agios Dionysios in Olympus is a Greek Orthodox monastery on the slopes of Mount Olympus, the most important monastery in the Pieria Prefecture. It is located at the Enipeas ravine at an altitude of 850 m The original monastery, established in 1542, was destroyed by the Germans in 1943.
Nearby, there is the cave of Saint Dionysius.

He explained the history behind the archaeological site of Dion we visited and gave us suggestions of what to do and where to get lunch. There was plenty of time to admire the beauty of nature and take many photos of the mountain of the Olympian Gods.We had a wonderful trip,however the service was excellent with a very friendly and helpful driver. If you want the hour trek to the waterfall it’s not the tour you want. We enjoyed the short walk to the river & later saw good distant views of the mountain. Dion is a large archaeological site ( lots of walking) all the better for having a guided tour. Our driver Demetrios was very helpful. We paid extra for the licensed guide. Comfortable, newish car. Highly recommend the tour.The tour was great! Friendly driver and comfortable van. The highlight of the tour was the waterfall of enipeas. A must tour for nature lovers!
