Overview
Departing from Tavira (we are at Maria's Tuk Tuk), we will pass and stop at the fishing village of Cabanas de Tavira (stop 15 minutes at the marginal), then we will pass by some fruit farms.
Arrival at Fábrica, a place of excellence along the Ria Formosa, where we will stop. Following the tour to Cacela Velha, a magnificent and picturesque place with the best view of the Ria Formosa and the Ocean, it is also in this area that the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção and the Fortress of Cacela are located, the main sights and attractions of Cacela .
Our tuk tuk tour ends with the return to Tavira, near Praça da República where the tour started.

This is really worth doing. Take warm clothes (even if it is hot and sunny - you are whizzing around in the back of a tuk tuk so it is chilly!). We did a long trip and Joao was fantastic - v informative, told us all about things as we passed - we loved getting out into the remote areas, tiny narrow little streets and beautiful places we would never have seen if we had not done the tour. Wir haben die Tour Cabanas und Casela Velha ausprobiert. Es war toll. Joao hat uns sehr schöne Anekdoten zu allen möglichen Orten erzählt und uns vieles über die lokal wachsenden Früchte aufgeklärt. Besonders toll war, dass er sich auf uns eingestellt hat. Da wir schon oft on Tavira waren musste er uns die Basics nicht mehr erzählen sondern hat uns besonders schöne Geschichten erzählt. Danke für die kurzweiligen und spannenden 3 Stunden im E-Tuk Tuk. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben das Tuk Tuk als eine tolle Alternative zu anderen geführten Sightseeing Touren schätzen gelernt.Très agréable visite de la ville et alentours avec Juan et son tuk tuk électrique. Maria’s tuk tuk tour took us through beautiful meandering paths in Rio Formosa park, with detailed explanation of salt flats and numerous farms. We explored towns of Fabrica, Cabanas and Cacela Velha and on return took back roads through the mountains. We passed small villages and private quintas. It was truly beautiful way to spend 2-3 hours. Highly recommend!Saw much of the countryside and historic villages. Toured through the groves of citrus, avocados, almonds. Very productive area.
