There is probably no other city that is so closely interwoven with the history of Egypt as Luxor. The great past of the “City of Palaces” lives on to this day. Next to the famous Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Karnak Temple in Luxor.
Sights / itinerary in Luxor
You will be picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned bus and driven to Sharm el Sheikh airport. After a short flight, you will land relaxed in Luxor. With our German-speaking tour guide you will explore the Karnak Temple and be transported back in time. Your path then leads you to the west bank of the Nile, to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit magnificent tombs and then the impressive temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After a short flight you will reach Sharm el Sheikh again.

Stop At: Sharm El Sheikh, Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, Red Sea and Sinai
You will be picked up from your hotel around 4:30 am and driven to the airport to take the Egypt Air domestic flight to Luxor at 6am. The flight time is about an hour. You will land in Luxor at around 7 a.m. A German-speaking travel guide will be waiting for you there. Then drive on the western bank of the Nile (Thebes West) to the Valley of the Kings to visit 3 interesting tombs. Continue to Deir el Bahary to visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. On the way back you will make a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon
After lunch return to the eastern bank of the Nile (Thebes-East) to visit the beautiful Karnak temple complex with the holy lake. At the end of the day transfer to the airport of Luxor for a domestic flight to Sharm el Sheikh. Upon arrival at Sharm el Sheikh airport, you will be driven back to the hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Amazing trip! Definitely worth the extra expense to visit. Luxor is beautiful and full of history. We were picked up from our hotel and dropped at the airport, our driver made sure we knew what we were doing and where to go before he left us. Getting through the airport was easy enough to althou...
Amazing trip! Definitely worth the extra expense to visit. Luxor is beautiful and full of history. We were picked up from our hotel and dropped at the airport, our driver made sure we knew what we were doing and where to go before he left us. Getting through the airport was easy enough to although be prepared for the many security checks! The flight was good....first time I've got anything free on a flight in years (water & nuts). On arrival our tour guide was waiting outside for us and straight into an air conditioned minibus/cab (bliss!). After that we were taken to see the listed sites....I won't go into them but they were all excellent! The guide got us through all possible difficulties and helped us avoid the hecklers which was a relief! We were given time at each site to explore and take our time. Then delivered back to the airport when we had had enough. Only negative I can say is that we only found out the details of the pick up time etc the day before and everything was a bit trust and it will happen....it was very nerve wracking for a control freak like me! I think this is normal though from what I've heard from other tours.28rozl

The whole day trip was amazing from start to finish. Everything was so well organised. We were in a party of 9 people and we all got on so well, had a real laugh. The whole day trip was amazing from start to finish. Everything was so well organised. We were in a party of 9 people and we all got on so well, had a real laugh. Flew from Sharm to Luxor a 45 minute flight. Visited 2 places then a boat along the Nile to a lovely hotel for a 3 course lunch then visited our last place. (There were a couple of little stop off in between) A long day about 15 hours but well worth it. We had a most fantastic Egyptologist who explained everything, he made us laugh and was so knowledgable, he was great. Go if you have the chance it’s a day you will remember for ever.833tatiana2014

From the very beginning we had a very good comunication with Mr.Ahmed by mail and whats up ( very helpful to be All the time connected) and we set up the date one week before the day trip. We paid directly to their agent that we met in front of our hotel Rixos Sharm and we were impressed being able to pay by card and getting also the Bill ( 340 $ for 2 persons). At 4,45 am as indicated a minibus picked us from hotel entrance and airport formalities were strict but easy to follow,so 6,30 we land and 7,30 we were already in the bus together with our group of 8 people and our very nice guide,very understandable english speaking. We had a full day in Luxor, visiting Hatshepsut temple, Kings Valley and Karnac Temple and, also, having a nice cruise by Nil in a sunny day of January and a lunch in a place with a beautiful view of NiL. We did not want to see Luxor Temple ( separate cost 25 euro/ person) being too late and already sunset time. We Felt All the time safety and not in a hurry, except Karnak that is huge and probably, we would need one day long only to pass through. Karnak is the best part and the most iconic, specially in the light of the sun set. We got a lot of explanations from our guide but It is amaizing simply to be there and walk and enjoy the scenery. At 6,30 we were back in Luxor airport for the flight at 8 pm and at 9 we are already in the hotel. Perfect day that will be a beautiful memory from our Holiday in Sharm El Sheik. For us Book Tour Egipt was a reliable choise and they fully met our expectation.
