Probably no other city is as closely interwoven with the history of Egypt as Luxor. The great past of the “City of Palaces” lives on to this day. Next to the famous Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Karnak Temple in Luxor.

The air-conditioned bus will pick you up from your hotel and reach the city of Luxor in around 4 hours. With our German-speaking tour guide you will explore the Karnak Temple and let yourself be transported back in time. Your path then leads you to the west bank of the Nile, to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit magnificent tombs and then the impressive temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will have some free time in Luxor before your return journey to your hotel in Hurghada.

Transfer war gut organisiert, unser Guide Mohammed hat die Reihenfolge geändert, dass wir den Massen ausgewichen sind und hat auch sehr viel erklärt und Tipps gegeben. Das Mittagsessen war ok. Nach 5 Stunden Fahrt in klimatisierten Reisebus inclusive Pause wurden wir vom Reiseleiter empfangen. Er war sicher kein Ägyptologe aber hat gute Erklärungen über die...

Nach 5 Stunden Fahrt in klimatisierten Reisebus inclusive Pause wurden wir vom Reiseleiter empfangen. Er war sicher kein Ägyptologe aber hat gute Erklärungen über die Historie und die Details der verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten geliefert. Der obligatorische Stop in der Alabaster-Fabrik war auszuhalten. Insgesamt war es ein absolut lohnenswerter Ausflug, auch die Bootsfahrt auf dem Nil sollte man mitnehmen. Tipps: eigenes Frühstück und Abendessen als Paket aus dem Hotel mitbringen, aufgrund der extremen Hitze im Sommer viel Wasser trinken und Kopfbedeckung mitnehmen, sich nicht auf die Erklärungen der Wächter in den Tempeln einlassen, sie haben keine Ahnung und wollen ausschließlich Bakshish. Im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern das beste Preisleistungsverhältnis.
