Overview
Synevyr lake was formed as a result of a powerful shift caused by the earthquake, about ten thousand years ago. Giant gorge that emerged at the same time was filled with water of three mountain streams. In a transparent and crystal clear water of the lake today feel great, rare species of fish like trout, rainbow and brook trout.
At the bottom of the lake Synevyr there is a hole that serves as a natural regulator of water and thus the lake is not out of the banks, even during major floods.
Shypit Waterfall is one of the most gorgeous waterfalls to be found in the scenic Zakarpattia region. This 14-meter high waterfall got its name from the Ukrainian word “whisper”, because the sound of fast falling water, similar to a murmur, is heard far from the falls. Even being located in an isolated place, the waterfall has become a famed attraction that tourists from Europe and Asia tend to visit every year.

Paid such an expensive price for such a tour only for the guide to turn up with a tiny rented car (Citroen C3) from Bolt. for such a price and length of tour a more comfy car is expected. The tour guide lacked the knowledge and he failed to know even the name of the river in the area, thanks to the driver who had some background knowledge. The tour guide had no added value throughout the trip. We forgot a personal belonging in the car and despite giving a generous tip to the tour guide and driver neither of them returned it or contacted us for that. If you intend to go there from Lviv just rent a car!
