Day trip from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo by plane
Overview
Marvel at the last existing wonder of the world - a fabulous experience! You will find a total of three pyramids here: the Chephren, Cheops and Mykerinos pyramids. You can discover the area on foot, on horseback or by camel.
After visiting the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Great Sphinx, by far the largest and most preserved sphinx. It consists of a human head on a lion's body. The Sphinx was carved from the remainder of a limestone mound that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops.

HONEST REVIEW First of all I will state the pyramids and museum are amazing and definitely worth a visit in my opinion. However there were a few negatives that put a slight downer on this trip. The first being that between some of the items that you are told about they take you to shops (clearly owned by friends) and you spend about 45 minutes per shop as they try to haggle you into buying things. This was annoying for me as I had paid to come see the pyramids not to buy perfume. Secondly as we were on the way from the museum to get some lunch they tell you about a boat trip on the Nile which is all well and good however it wouldn't hurt to just mention it in the not included list on description but was only €10 per person so not the end of the world. The third negative, which I know is out of this company's control, is Cairo airport. It is chaos for no apparent reason. We were 'delayed' around 1.5 hours due to the workers not being on the security desk so this was an annoying end to a rather long day. Now for the positives of the trip. The pyramids, sphinx & museum are an amazing visit and our tour guide Fahme was superb and very knowledgeable. He asked us beforehand if we wanted to have a camel or horse ride to the panoramic view and made sure that we wasn't ripped by the operators (a small tip obviously goes a long way). Any questions we had about the ancient Egyptians was answered and he was very helpful with photos too. My only critique would be that during the my trip we only seemed to look at hieroglyphics and the trip seemed to be a bit rushed. If I were to do this trip again I would personally try to sort out my own flight there as you could tell there was a few time wasting activities to pass the time towards the end. We actually ended up getting to the airport early as we had seen enough. Overall, definitely worth a visit but expect a very long, 25 hour day. Solid 7/10Great tour guide Sarwat, super knowledgeable, our driver was so sweet and caring towards us and my child. Thanks for a great day out

What an amazing experience, from start to finish. I was fortunate to have Sarwat as my tour guide who made this experience even better, super friendly, had great banter and has a vast knowledge of the area and ancient Egyptian history. Starting off by seeing ‘Old Cairo’ and how it has adapted to the modern world then moving on to the Egyptian Museum which has so many artefacts it would be borderline impossible to view it all, it was nice to have Sarwat guide us and point out some key items to view while telling us stories about them. (Once he showed us these key pieces of history we were given free time to view everything else). The whole group then paid a bit extra to then go on a boat ride down the river which really made you appreciate the modern Cairo and its skyline. After a brief stop to see how they make Papyrus and then a lunch break (food was free, drink is paid extra) we then went to the pyramids area. In this area we made 4 stops to visit the pyramids and the sphinx. At one of these stops you could get a ride by either camel or carriage to a spot where you can see all 9 pyramids and get the ideal photographs. In all it was a wonderful day but just for anyone who wishes to do this just be wary it’s a long day waking up at 4am and getting back quite late due to flights. Cairo is very hectic and there are a lot of people trying to make a living by trying to sell you stuff or by offering you assistance and then wanting a tip. Just be confident to say “no thank you” and you will be fine, however our guide Sarwat was making sure we were safe the whole time and would guide you at the time to prepare yourself for these people.Amazing, every detailed planned and thought of! Took all the stress out of the experience! Highly recommend. Tour guide was incredible.
