Stop At: Juno Beach Centre, Voie des Francais Libres, 14470 Courseulles-sur-Mer France

The Juno Beach Center (in English, Juno Beach Center) is a museum located in Courseulles-sur-Mer in Calvados, in Normandy, France. Located on Juno Beach, the very beach where the Canadians landed on D-Day, June 6, 1944, alongside the other Allied forces, the Juno Beach Center presents the role played by Canada during the Second World War, notably in Normandy.

Stop At: Musee du Debarquement, Place du 6 Juin, 14117 Arromanches-les-Bains France

The Arromanches-les-Bains Landing Museum commemorates the Normandy landings of June 6, 1944 and more particularly the construction of the artificial harbor of Arromanches and its use during the Battle of Normandy from June to August 1944 to supply the troops allied to across the Channel.

Stop At: Longues-sur-Mer, Longues-sur-Mer, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, Normandy

The Longues-sur-Mer battery is one of the Atlantic Wall shooting batteries, located in the coastal town of Longues-sur-Mer in Calvados. The site included 4 150 mm long range naval cannons, each protected by a reinforced concrete casemate, and various installations to serve and defend them. Located in the Allied landing zone in Normandy, between the beaches of Omaha Beach and Gold Beach, the battery was subjected to intense aerial and then naval bombardments preventing it from fully entering into action on D-Day and was taken as soon as the next day by British troops. Listed as a historic monument, it is in a good state of conservation. The site is landscaped and has become a frequented place of passage during visits to the landing sites.

Stop At: Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, Normandy

Released on June 8, 1944 by the 47th Royal Marines Commando, during Operation Overlord, Port-en-Bessin became on June 16 the head of a pipeline system of approximately 120 km intended to supply the armies of the allies in fuel. At the end of August 1944, this system was completed by Operation PLUTO, which saw the laying of oil pipelines between the Isle of Wight and Querqueville near Cherbourg.

Stop At: Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer, 14710 Colleville-sur-Mer France

The American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer is an American military cemetery, located just above Omaha Beach, in the commune of Colleville-sur-Mer, on one of the sites of the Allied landing on June 6 1944.

Stop At: Pegasus Bridge, avenue Major John Howard, 14860 Ranville France

Pegasus Bridge is the name received after the operations of June 6, 1944 during the Second World War, the Bénouville bridge in honor of British paratroopers whose winged horse Pegasus was the emblem. It was inaugurated on March 11, 1945. It was located on the Caen to the sea canal in Normandy.

Stop At: Bayeux, Bayeux, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, Normandy

Bayeux is the home of the Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England. It is also known as the first major town secured by the Allies during Operation Overlord. Charles de Gaulle made two famous speeches in this town.
