Day in Chicago Food and Architecture
Overview
Our two-part tour begins by exploring the heart of downtown Chicago - with its iconic architecture, both old and new, views of the Chicago River, Millenium Park, and bustling city avenues (plus, a couple tasty local treats along the way).
From there, we’ll hit the Central Loop, where locals go to grab their favorite foods, day and night. Try the best of Chicago fare and get to know the history and how-tos (and how-not-tos) behind iconic street and comfort food staples - from the infamous deep dish pizza to sandwiches to a loaded hot dog!
Your local guide will entertain with fascinating stories and the everyday immigrant chefs and vendors responsible for Chicago’s eclectic food scene. By the end of the tour, you’ll have a deep appreciation for both the evolution of this excellent city and the role food has played in the lives of all Chicagoans!

I thought this tour was fantastic. Our guide Dash was hands down the best tour guide I've ever had. He filled the 3 hour architecture part of tour with a bunch of wonderful spots and was extremely knowledgeable of every aspect of all of them. I felt like he could have easily done another 3 hours just on architecture. I was exactly blown away by the food but that has zero reflection upon the tour and more me being a picky eater. The hotdog was my favorite of the 3 but I had to eliminate a few of the toppings that weren't to my liking. The beef sandwich had potential but next time I order it will be sans spice lol. The pizza was most disappointing to me. Again, I'm an extremely picky eater, adjustments had to be made but the sausage had already seeped into the flavor of my slice lmao. All joking aside I would highly recommend this tour and if you're lucky you will have Dash as your guide. Enjoy the tour, I did.Amazing tour! Fun, informative and engaging. The guide knows every nook and cranny of Chicago and the best places to eat.
