Every day is different, some days we will visit this museum in the Obrero neighbourhood to learn about the over 50 years of history of salsa in Cali. Not included on Sunday or holiday tours.

A visit to s small kiosk-bar of a salsa vinyls coleccionist, a friend of Hector Lavoe, to listen to old music from turntables and practise dance steps or instruments. It's like entering a time machine but it's a real bar that he has hosted for decades.

Susanna is amazing - she is from Finland and travelled around the world until she moved to Cali 10 years ago to follow her passion for salsa! She is very knowledgeable and has many connections to the salsa scene in Cali - she knows the best places to be in on each day and the tour can be quite different depending on which day you go! I was a bit anxious about booking the tour, as I was travelling alone, but she made sure I was comfortable and reassured me the places we were visiting were safe in principle. We visited the salsa museum, went to a viejoteca to dance some salsa and we finished the tour at the popular street party that happens every Friday in Cali. A lot of people knew Susanna in all places we went to and it definitely felt like I was out with a friend, enjoying Cali’s salsa scene as a local. I really liked the fact that I could play some typical salsa instruments for the first time too! We also ended the tour eating at one of the places close to the street party and Susanna made sure I got back safe by helping me with the Uber request! I am so glad I got to do the Daily Salsa Tour before leaving Cali! I love dance and music, and had been looking for tours that could take me to learn about salsa and see authentic dance clubs in Cali in a safe way. We started at Plazoleta Jairo Varela, went to the amazing and historic Museo de la Salsa, visited a viejoteca (old school dancing club) and an outdoor street dance party and learned and tried out salsa instruments. Susanna is a very knowledgable tour guide and fellow passionate salsa lover! I hope to return and do another tour! Tours available in English or Spanish as well.How local can a tour be? On most tours Ive been on Ive never felt as much a part of the place as on this one in Rico. The staff is super nice and endearing.
