Rented a bike for my dad visiting from out of town for a week. Friendly service, excellent bike (good quality and well maintained), fair price and we thoroughly enjoyed riding in and around Ottawa! My only nitpick is that the place was difficult to find by the Rideau Canal the first time, more signage at street level would be good.Excellent service and bikes. Great location next to the canal with easy access to multiple routes. Highly recommended. We used the RidewithGPS app and downloaded a few rides. A route map would be a nice addition.

Our intent was to go for an hour bike ride but once we got going we couldn’t get over how many bike paths there are in Ottawa. We ended up keeping the bikes for over 4 hours.

Highly recommend RentABike! Bikes were ready, in good condition, and fully charged (we rented electric). Great, friendly service. Bike seats immediately adjusted to our specific heights. Helmets, locks, and panniers supplied. We cycled for 4 hours around the Rideau Canal and other areas, and the route is mostly flat and quite scenic. Hope to do it again sometime in the future! We rented bikes today as a family group including a nine year old and a sixty nine year old. We rented bikes today as a family group including a nine year old and a sixty nine year old. Even though it was a typically hot summer’s morning, there was a pleasant breeze as we cycled along, so don’t discount this as not something to do on a hot day, although our heads did get hot from the cycle helmets. We were given advice about routes to take and a map. Construction on part of the route that we chose meant we had to divert at times and towards the end we got lost and ended up in the higher part of the city and that meant we had to go down steep steps to get back to the cycle centre, but we think that was our map reading. The staff were really helpful setting us up with bikes, and the helmet, a D lock and also a pannier for the electric bike were included in the price. I had a electric bike which cost quite a bit more (double?) but seemed worth it and was easy to ride. The other adults and nine year old easily got bikes to fit. We stopped at the Art-is-inBakery for lunch, which staff had told us about and there was a brewery that we passed too. A fun healthy good value activity for all of the family, and near the canal there was lots of level riding on cycle paths with no nasty hills unless you divert off this route. Good views of Ottawa. We even heard bagpipers piping when we were watching the canal lock keepers in action. You get charged for the time you use the cycles too so that works out well as it’s hard to know in advance how long you will take.Rented a bike for the day with friends from Alberta. Rented a bike for the day with friends from Alberta. It's inexpensive and hassle free. They have different types and sizes of bikes to suit every person's needs. We chose hybrid bikes to sightsee along the Rideau Canal at our pace. There are several other paved routes that probably cover a few hundred kms around the Ottawa area. Just a great way to spend a summer day.
