We had a wonderful trip to Kanchanaburi thanks to Troy, the manager of SUP Hire, who proposes original activities which combine cycling "off the beaten tracks" and paddling on the Kwai river for very affordable prices. All the members of Troy's team were very nice and professional. Both activities of cycling and paddling were smoothly combined for a morning trip. Troy guided us safely from 6:30 to 9:30 in the morning, a very appropriate schedule to enjoy morning light and agricultural activities in the paddy and sugar cane fields. What a nice surprise to make a break in a quiet pagoda where monks were declining their prayers. We also enjoyed the stand up paddle-boarding taster session (10:30-12:30) with Pep and Troy, a great pedagogue for kids (7 year's old). I strongly recommend this trip to families who want to escape from the urban atmosphere and seek for a relaxing week-end only 2.5 hours far from Bangkok. Last but not least, the team is multicultural and manage to speak in English, Thaï, Chinese, and Korean. Thank you G.Great morning cycle through a beautiful rural area, in quiet back roads and some off road. Troy is a great guide, very friendly and flexible, he designed a new route to suit our family. Good bikes for all of us. It was great fun and lots to see.

Rented our bikes from Troy and found him to be very accommodating. First day road around the city in the rain and saw the museum and the cemetery. Spent a lot of time just taking it all in. Ended up on the Bridge. On the way back to hotel took a different route and went through some jungle areas and through some little villages Day 2 decided to take Troy up on transporting the bikes up to the Hellfire Monument. Spend a couple hours at the memorial and taking the tour of the cut. On departing we decided to go via a different route. This proved to be rather challenging. It was not the most well maintained roads, mostly rock road with lots of potholes. As a result our time was much reduced. Getting back to highway 323 we were off on good road once again. Then the heavy rain came. Deciding that we still had 40 km to ride and it was getting dark we gave Troy a call and he was more than happy to come and pick us up and transport us back to the hotel Overall had 2 exceptional rides over the time we were there Sup Hire was very accommodating and helpful. The bikes were quite sufficient hybrid bikes and withstood the rock road with no punctures The price is extremely reasonable and the staff helpful.

Merci ! We hired bikes from SUP Hire Thailand to do the proposed Geocaching tour. The bikes were in excellent condition, very good quality, with gears although the route was flat. The team was top notch, they offered us drinks, explained everything, they were reachable all the time and even helped us cross the road with the bikes. The proposed tour was very beautiful and allowed us to discover another facet of the countryside around Kanchanaburi: rice fields with mountains in the background, ponds covered with huge pink lotuses, an unusual temple, meetings with friendly locals, ...and some dogs, fortunately not very brave in this heat. A great souvenir, an outing to be recommended. It took us about 3 hours but we didn't hang around as we had to get to Bangkok the same day. From the initial contact with Troy via Facebook Messenger with SUP Hire Thailand to our final farewell, this was a great experience. Troy listened to what we wanted to do, made some suggestions and then came up with a suggested itinerary. He even got us a great deal with their partner hotel Royal River Kwai Resort & Spa (also recommended). We went with the suggested itinerary, and we’re pleased with the price and activities. My husband and I are fit and sporty but have never done SUP before, except for a casual paddle a couple times while on a beach vacation. We did a 2 hour intro lesson with Troy himself and then continued on down the River Kwai Yai with Fadel, who is from Yala and speaks Melayu) as our guide to end at our resort. The entire trip was well-planned from pick-up at our resort to take us to the start point to getting off the boards at the river’s edge at our resort. I would recommend bringing a dry bag to keep your phone dry. You will get wet during the lesson because it’s good to practice falling into the water. The other day of activities was a morning bike ride, break back at our resort (lunch not included), afternoon bike ride and then 2 hour SUP paddle from our resort to the famous Bridge Over the River Kwai. With the recent rains, the first bike ride was a fun experience of navigating dirt, mud, and puddles. That morning bike ride was my favorite part. The afternoon bike ride was a route closer to the River Kwai Yai. We crossed the River twice. It was on roads the entire time, so I didn’t enjoy it as much. Our guide made sure we cycled safely with the cars though. If you have kids, I would recommend the morning route we took that went around farmland and on a mix of small roads, dirt roads, and trails. The guides and Troy know how to adjust the experience to the needs of each specific group. Because we showed proficiency with SUP, Troy allowed us to do the final paddle to the Bridge on the River Kwai without a guide. The staff gave us a phone number to call if we had any problems and also waited for us near the midway point to check if we were ok. Both were nice safety measures. They set us up for success, so we didn’t need any help. We got to the Bridge Over the River Kwai right as a train was about to pass. That was really cool! Thank you for taking good care of us, Troy, Fadel, and the team. (P.S. we speak rudimentary Bahasa Melayu, Malaysian language, so we ended up communicating with Fadel using Melayu instead of Thai or English. That was also a great aspect that enhanced our experience).
