What to expect
Are you looking for blue ice and ice cave that looks like crystal? In this ice cave tour, you will experience natural unique ice caves in the wonders of Vatnajökull glacier. The tour is intended for people that want to visit an ice cave, get great photo opportunities and an unforgettable experience. Guided by a local company that will take you through the region’s history from settlement until today.
Ice Cave Adventure tour is easy, we only have to walk for 30-40 minutes (1.5km) to and from the ice cave, maximum 12 pax in a group. The tour can take between 3-4 hours, of which 45 minutes are spent in the cave, at least enough to get the perfect pictures!
On this tour we will not walk on the glacier, all the walk will be done on a gravel path.
The age limit is 10 years old.

While driving there, the nice Guide Andrea drove us and gave us some interesting info about the cave and Iceland, which I appreciated. It was a nice 40ish minute walk to the cave. It was a nice 40ish minute walk to the cave. The weather cleared out and there was a beautiful view on the glacier. Andrea gave me some tips on how to take a good picture of the cave and she was in general very friendly. We have booked the crystal ice caving tour with glacier adventure and our guide was Zanet. The experience was extremely amazing. I have never seen anything that beautiful in my life. It was very well organized and we got to see amazing colors and crystals. I truely recommend to book your tour with Zanet, she is extremely funny friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. It was a small hike to the glacier until we went in. They provided helmets and ice chains for the boots. Zanet is a geniune hiker/ice climber/rock climber snd really experienced. This is a message for all the hiking/rock climbing /ice climbing communities around the world, please support Zanet and glacier adventuresWe did this excursion on a very rainy day, but it stayed very nice and interesting anyway. The guide was super nice as well, I definitely recommend !
