We travel North from Hazyview to the Blyde River Canyon for an alternative look at the Dam and Canyon. Board the boat for a 1.5 hr interpretive tour. See the living Kadishi Tufa waterfall. At 200m (660 feet) its the 2nd tallest Tufa waterfall on earth.
The abundance of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, primates and a diversity of birdlife, will keep you enthralled while hearing more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. It is the largest “green canyon” and the 3rd largest in the world.

Our driver, Edsel, was prompt and the van comfortably. He gave us lots of information about the area and it’s people on our drive to the canyon. This was a great day trip. The Blyde Canyon and boat cruise was breathtaking. The canyon is beautiful and so green. We saw three crocodiles and five ...
Our driver, Edsel, was prompt and the van comfortably. He gave us lots of information about the area and it’s people on our drive to the canyon. This was a great day trip. The Blyde Canyon and boat cruise was breathtaking. The canyon is beautiful and so green. We saw three crocodiles and five hippos. The boat guide was very knowledgeable and we learned several things about the animals and canyon. After the boat trip we stopped for lunch at a local place. We then headed to Moholoho Animal Preserve. They work they are doing to rehabilitate animals and protect those that cannot go back to the wild is fantastic. We saw white lions, cheetahs, leopards, black Panther, and golden badgers. We have always enjoyed our tour booked through TripAdvisor but this was one of the best.Bindy78

We did this tour in June 2018, what an amazing experience. Our tour guide Jay was very clued up on all things happening in and around the area, he was also very patient with us and extremely accommodating. The Moholoholo tour was awesome, we got to touch the Cheetah which was absolutely amazing...

The Moholoholo tour was awesome, we got to touch the Cheetah which was absolutely amazing, the Blyde Dam Cruise was also breathtakingly beautiful, the tour guide on the boat was also very knowledgeable about the surroundings - I recommend this tour and hope to be able to do it again in a couple of years time. Wij deden een Blyde Dam Boat Trip vanuit Phalaborwa dit is ongeveer vijf kwartier rijden naar de parkeerplaats van de boten. Het is een geweldige ervaring om door de canyon te varen de tocht duurt ongeveer anderhalf uur. Er zijn geweldige vergezichten en met een beetje geluk zie je ook nog het no...
Wij deden een Blyde Dam Boat Trip vanuit Phalaborwa dit is ongeveer vijf kwartier rijden naar de parkeerplaats van de boten. Het is een geweldige ervaring om door de canyon te varen de tocht duurt ongeveer anderhalf uur. Er zijn geweldige vergezichten en met een beetje geluk zie je ook nog het nodige wild. Het is ook leuk om de drie rondavels vanuit de boot te zien. De tour koste ongeveer 15 euro per persoon maar dat is het meer dan waard. Ga na de tour ook nog even kijken bij het view punt hier zijn ook meerdere toiletten en een soort van museumpje je kan er ook picnic doen. Wij vonden het een hele leuke en leerzame tour en je moet hem zeker doen als je er de tijd voor hebt.
