What to expect
Only here for the day? Not to worry, dive and snorkel trips are available to our cruise ship guests. This tour includes pickup and drop off directly from the cruise port, transport to beautiful West Bay beach and two boat dives with the best Dive Operator on West Bay with the newest equipment, newest boats and most experienced instructors. For over 10 years West Bay Divers has been offering premium, small group full concierge service from the number one location on the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest in the world!
West Bay is a scenic drive from Roatan’s cruise ship terminal. If you just want to relax on the beach with a drink in your hand, West Bay is by far the best beach on Roatan, known for it’s white sand, clear water and bars right on the beach.
For certified divers we have scheduled fun dives at 09:00 am (2-tank dive). There is usually plenty of time for two dives during your stay on Roatan. Dives are guided by one of our instructors and we have dive sites for all experience levels: walls, wrecks, drift dives and shallow sites as well. Most marine life is viewed between 30 and 60 ft.

My husband and I were looking for an excursion that was a dive/snorkel combo. My husband's dive master (from Iowa) was attentive and ensured everyone's comfort and safety. They take care of setting up all your equipment on the boat and you just suit up right before the dive.

One Carlos was an excellent driver that got us to the excursion with time to spare. The dives were awesome, we saw so many fish. Our instructor Yvonne was very nice and knowledgeable.

Divers in search of a “SCUBA Concierge” experience should look no further than West Bay Divers. As a newcomer to the Bay Islands, instructors Bastiaan and Lourenço not only made me feel as though we’d been friends for years, but removed any obstacle to my enjoyment of Roatan’s beautiful reefs and fishes, often without my realizing. Sometimes there can be a shock when it comes time to pay for all the fun- after a lovely morning of diving, a cheery welcome by Eva in the shop makes all the paperwork required for the fun nearly as fun as the diving itself. There are plenty of dive options to pick from on Roatan, but it’s dive leaders like Lourenço, Bastiaan, and Eva that make West Bay Divers the number one recommendation I’ll make for any friends who are making the wonderful choice to visit Roatan.We dove with these guys for the second time, off a Celebrity Apex cruise. Set up gear for us on arrival. Rinsed it all upon return. Dive guide Eva was really good. One of the best really. Pace was excellent. Very relaxing with tons of marine life. Terrific turtle encounter. Great grouper encounter. Started off a little ways down the wall and moved up to 35 ft when we hit O2 midpoint. Both dives ran about 52-53 minutes. I have had many wonderful underwater experiences in my life but this one ranked right at the top. Scott was our leader and did a great job helping mentor my teenage daughter. Very nice equipment and boats. And the price was less than some other tours which are offered by others.

The water was warm and clear and fish and beautiful coral were everywhere! At one point, I was swimming with a school of fish and it felt as if I was one of them! After the snorkel and dive tour, they took us for lunch at a restaurant on the water. We used their transportation and it was great! The only knock was the small, not too great bathroom we had for changing. We got back to our cruise ship with time to spare! Thanks for a wonderful excursion!
