I really enjoyed the experience. After your first attempt at Batik painting, you quickly realize how talented the real Batik artists are. It is a meditative practice as it takes patience and a paced breathing to paint within the lines. I quickly came to peace, and that made the trip worthwhile. UNTIL, I met Zia, the 9 year old girl who stole my heart with her graceful dance. I’m grateful to Wiyan and family for sharing their art with me.
