We are an authentic and unique desert tour that showcases the natural flora and fauna of the Palm Springs Desert ecosystem. Our live entertainment is professional and very enjoyable. We offer optional dancing lessons, games and great food. The most total inclusive and immersive desert experience in the Coachella Valley. Adventurous, educational, beautiful, unique, fun, delicious, happy, Hallmark Movie is what we have been described on our reviews! The good old days are still here at Covered Wagons!

What to expect
Your on-board naturalist guide and Wagon Master Driver will entertain and educate you as we explore the rugged canyon landscapes, palm oases, flora & fauna and wildlife of this ancient Desert Wilderness created by the geological wonders of the San Andreas Fault. Your senses will be captivated as you travel through this ancient land that is as unchanged as when nature created it!
A guided nature walk is included and optional.
As you return to the ranch, enjoy watching the desert sunset sink over the San Jacinto Mountains from the best view in the Coachella Valley! Continue the evening playing horseshoes, roping and cornhole. Enjoy live western music, learn a barn dance, dine on fantastic BBQ, & Dessert that is included! Enjoy the enchanted desert lighting all under the sunset, moon and stars. End this unique experience roasting marshmallows over an open campfire. Its time to enjoy the good old days. They are still here at Covered Wagons and we cant wait to see you here!

Windy but enjoyable evening with 2 covered wagons on our tour. Friendly staff went out of their way to make sure your having a good time. Lots of food at BBQ, plenty to drink and ended night with s'mores which we were to stuffed to try. Great atmosphere and music.

Covered Wagon Adventures is one of the best family activities I’ve ever had the opportunity to experience. Everyone there was so welcoming and informative. We started with horseshoes, cornhole, lassos and roping, along with refreshments. The covered wagon journey was absolutely incredible. I learned so many new facts about the area, including plants and wildlife and the palm tree oasis was a big surprise. After the wagon tour, we learned two line dances and we were entertained with music and singing by a wonderfully talented young lady in the best Wild West style. Then, we were treated to a delicious barbecue dinner including an apple-blueberry pie that was so tasty. The evening concluded with a marshmallow roast and viewing the spectacular starry sky and beautiful city lights. We all enjoyed this event very much. It’s great fun for all ages. I am still in hangover mode from the covered wagon tours. What a delightful experience and evening. To start off, the entire crew of the tour, each one of them were very kind and caring. They kept the enthusiasm up every minute. The mule ride was an unique experience, the valley and the details they provide during the tour is relevant and great for school kids and adults. We came back to a refreshing country music. Christy and John, they beautifully entertained the crowd with music and we all did a barn dance. Food was great, dessert was yummy and roasting marshmallow topped the fun. PS: It gets colder as the ride is up the mountains. Jeans and jackets recommended. Milly, the owner - you are great.
