The tour was not 8 hours but only under 5 hrs. Tour was advertised for 8 hours. Only went to 3 wineries which was a suprise since it was supposedly an 8 hour tour. Morning pick up time was 9 am yet the first winery does not open until 10:30 am, so we had to just wait outside for the winery to ope...
The tour was not 8 hours but only under 5 hrs. Tour was advertised for 8 hours. Only went to 3 wineries which was a suprise since it was supposedly an 8 hour tour. Morning pick up time was 9 am yet the first winery does not open until 10:30 am, so we had to just wait outside for the winery to open. The first winery was at best, below average. The second winery was probably the better one. Professional presentation. Wine was good that we ended up buying two bottles. Shockingly, the winery was charging us for the tasting, yet this should have been included with the tour. So we informed them of such, and the tour guide/driver said he’ll check with the tour owner. Like huh?!! Are you kidding me?! Obviously it should be included. (Btw, this entire tour was not cheap.) After 2nd winery, went to lunch. Third winery was ok. Again, we had to wait at least 35 minutes; somehome the lady who’s suppsed to give us the tasting wasnt there. once she got there, the entire tasting was abrupt. (Seems like scheduling was poorly done.) Tastings were being hurriedly done. Very weird vibes. Overall, it was a meh to ok experience. probably better if we had rented a car and planned our own tastings. Encountered a few condascending remarks from wineries; they must think dumb Americans who dont know anything about wine. For the experience, it should be half the cost.
