What to expect
My dog Ettore and I will welcome you with glass of prosecco and we can start working to create the best pesto, gnocchi and tiramisù you have ever tasted and enjoy a wonderful terrace overlooking the sea.
We will start with the preparation of the tiramisu which will have to remain in the fridge to cool down, to immediately move on to the preparation of the best Genovese PESTO by pounding all the ingredients in a mortar, according to the traditional technique and according to the recipe of my grandmother who, with her personal mortar, he used to prepare it when I was little. Then we will prepare GNOCCHI (or the local TROFIE) which you can finally taste with the sauce you have made and a glass of wine; among pleasant chat you will discover the history and tradition behind which the flavors of Ligurian cuisine are hidden. Finally, the most famous Italian dessert awaits you, the creamy TIRAMISU 'which with its foamy consistency will let you forget the stairs you took to get to my kitchen.
Sample Menu
• GNOCCHI or the local TROFIE
• PESTO ALLA GENOVESE

The homemade pesto was delicious, the views just spectacular, and our cooking classmates delightful.

During our 14 day stay, this was by far the best experience we had. We did many tours in Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice, and Cinque Terre, and if I had to pick one to recommend to anyone it would be this. I did this cooking class with my mom and sister, and Luca was extremely welcoming from the moment we walked into his beautiful home. He made sure to make this an intimate and enjoyable experience for everyone. We learned all about the culture, and it was easily the best food we had on the trip! You truthfully learn so much, and have fun while doing it! It was my moms birthday which Luca did not know until we were already there, and Luca still surprised her with a candle to celebrate! We really had a great time that we don’t feel like we would have experienced at a cooking class with a big group of people. This is a must do!My mom and I LOVED our cooking class with Luca! His personality was so much fun and we learned so much about the food we cooked and how to make it at home. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

Luca is an incredible host, storyteller, and chef. My 2 friends and I were paired with a small family for our class (6 total) and we had an amazing time chatting together and eating DELICIOUS food. Luca walked us through each of the steps, taught us the cultural/historical significance of the regional ingredients we used in each of the plates and included us in the instruction process. He demonstrated how to make the pasta dough, shape, etc. but then allowed us to try and make mistakes as we went along. I'm so glad we got to meet and experiencing cooking with Luca. He's truly a gem!Luca made us feel like we were his best friends as he taught us how to make pesto pasta and tiramisu! The pasta was so fun to learn to make and even better to eat! The pasta I will probably buy fresh - it was a ton of work!!
