Lovely day in the sun. Interesting vineyard to visit, with tastings by the grape vines. Taste the grape, taste the wine! Ashley Acevedo was our guide, and she was excellent. (She was also our guide on a walking tour of downtown Santiago - again, excellent!)

We found ourselves with some extra time in Santiago and decided to visit one of our favorite wineries. We were unsure if there would be spots available since we were calling just 2 days before but we were happy to see they had an English tour available. They picked us up right from our airbnb in the morning. Our tour guide Daniel Schatz was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave great info about the tour as well as Santiago/Chile in general. We all split off into our different tours once we got there. We very much enjoyed the tour and the wine! We would recommend going on this tour.We very much enjoyed this tour and made more enjoyable by our guide Mauricie J. who provided lots of local flair during our trip to and from the winery. We very much enjoyed this tour and made more enjoyable by our guide Mauricie J. who provided lots of local flair during our trip to and from the winery. The winery and grounds were lovely. The tour commences with strolling through a lovely park to the owner's summer estate, near a man made lake and manicured lawns.. our first tasting was under a lovely tree with a tremendous view.We were picked up by taxi from our hotel and taken about half a mile to a main meeting point where we boarded a coach with about 20 other passengers from across the globe. We were picked up by taxi from our hotel and taken about half a mile to a main meeting point where we boarded a coach with about 20 other passengers from across the globe. After about 45 minutes we arrived at the world famous Concho y Toro vineyard where they also make the Cassilero Del Diablo wine which we enjoy in the UK. We were divided with other groups into small common language groups. Our group had Americans, Germans , Malaysians and Rnglush and Welsh! We tasted three wines, a Sauvignon Blanc and a rare red and the famous Cabernet Sauvignon. The English speaking guide was knowledgeable and was excellent with information, folklore and technical information. A really enjoyable afternoon and some nice wines to take away ( cheaper than in the UK!) Highly recommended and costs approx £25 per person and you get an engraved Concho y Toro wine glass each to take home. Our Turistik guide- Mauricio was the cherry on top! Very informative, humorous, very patient and made everyone feel that they had his individual attention- he was excellent and made the experience special.Had a great tour to Concha Y Toro winery with Turistik. Had a great tour to Concha Y Toro winery with Turistik. Ashley (our guide) and Fernando (our driver) were very friendly and did an excellent job of telling us about their country and the scenery as we travelled to the winery. Our guide at the winery was excellent as well. Overall a great tour -- highly recommended.Jorge (guide) and Henrique (driver) helped to elevated the tour to a nice experience. Aside from good explanation about wines in general, Jorge was extremely well humored. Keep it up! Forgot my cellular on the bus, but the staff kindly kept it safe till I picked it back.
