This horseback riding outing was the highlight of our trip. Our horses were mellow and easy to handle, the scenery was incredible, and we had so much fun getting to trot/canter. The home-cooked lunch was excellent, one of the most delicious meals of our entire week. Beth drove us door-to-door and was full of information about the area. We enjoyed the hot springs to relax after the riding, but honestly I just wish we could have been on horseback the whole time! Next time we may try the camping trip, it sounded like a wonderful opportunity to see the night sky and get more time riding! We had an amazing ride with the cowboys who catered for those who wanted to ride hard and gallop and those who wanted a more leisurely pace. Can't recommend Beth and her colleagues highly enough for this amazing trip. My daughter (10yo) and I booked the riding & hot springs day trip, and it was the best part of our holiday. The horses were fantastic, the views sublime. Beth herself accompanied us and took pictures which was really lovely as taking out your own camera can be tricky (if you are, like me, not a very experienced rider) plus you'd miss the view faffing with your saddle bag! The whole riding experience was better than expected. Lunch was at the home of one of the cowboys, full home-made fare and freshly-squeezed juice which was super tasty. For the afternoon we went to the hot springs tour which was lovely although not quite what expected - I had visions of a blue lagoon type location, this is more akin to outdoor pools but there is a section of springs under domes which was wonderful. All in all a brilliant day with great organisation and company. Highly recommended! My husband, 2 kids (8 and 6) and myself all agree that this is THE most unforgettable adventure of our recent San Miguel trip. My husband, 2 kids (8 and 6) and myself all agree that this is THE most unforgettable adventure of our recent San Miguel trip. From the get-go, when we were still planning our trip, Beth has been very responsive and helpful. I was having technical glitches on TripAdvisor so I emailed her directly and she was really quick to reply and offer suggestions. When we got to San Miguel and it was time for our adventure, she picked us up from our hotel on time, took us to the ranch, gave us riding lessons and rode with us, had lunch with us, took us to the hotsprings (gave us choices which resort to go), and took us back to the hotel. In a nutshell, it was end-to-end/door-to-door hands-on care and we really appreciate it. The trail ride was more than what we hoped for as well. All four of us didn't have much experience riding but Beth, together with the local vaqueros/cowboys, taught us enough and assisted us every step of the way. My kids felt confident and didn't feel scared at all even if we were around 6000 ft plus above sea level, and at times our horses were trotting (they actually enjoyed these moments). Soaking in the hotsprings after the trail ride and ranch lunch was a great way to freshen up and relieve the back and thigh muscles that we thoroughly used in riding. Xote was a great choice for the kids -- it had slides and other fun things for kids to engage in while the adults are soaking in and watching them from the pool. I'd definitely recommend this for families. Such a great way to bond and make unforgettable memories together :)I'm 76 years old and went with friends on this all day horseback riding trip. It was a delight, I highly recommend it. It was very reasonable. The lunch was great and the trip afterwards to the hot springs was fabulous.

My group of four friends had an amazing time horseback riding out in the Mouth of the Canyon. The cowboys were very friendly and helpful and Beth was an amazing host. We had the best lunch at the ranch and the most memorable quesadillas with homemade cheese. After lunch we went to the hot springs with Beth and she showed us all the perks and hidden pools at the hot springs! It was so relaxing and felt amazing after spending a day in the sun. This trip was super accommodating too! Beth picked us up and dropped us off right outside of our airbnb.
