Branson has a serious need for shows which feature the rock and roll music that meant so much to the folks in their 40s and 50s who will be the city's next wave of visitors. Classic Rock Icons is quite simply the best of the rock in town, features fantastic performances across the board, and provides rock fans with a completely satisfying experience in a very comfortable theatre. The show covers a wide range of artists, but plays 2-3 songs from those artists so it feels better than a different-artist-every-minute feel that plagues other shows in town. The Mick Jagger impersonation is very close to the real thing and you can't go wrong with playing the Stones in a rock show. The Tom Petty segment has some surprising, but pleasing, song choices. The Stevie Nicks artist has a voice stronger than the actual Stevie Nicks. Honestly, there's not a weak moment in the show, save a few bad jokes during the Branson-required promotion of the theater's other shows. Bottom line, if you want to rock your face off with a live band (major plus) then you want to make a point to see Classic Rock Icons.
