Loved the 1-on-1 experience, learning a lot about Aix, and seeing the town. A great intro to a place I had never been before. Laurent even bought me a coffee halfway through the tour! If you're thinking about maybe doing this, don't hesitate to sign up. It's well worth it.

Christopher from OohProvence delivered a very enjoyable and extensive tour of Aix-en-Provence. He took us all over the city, and pointed out details that we would never have noticed. His unflagging energy and interest in history was contagious! With the private tour for just the two of us, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the afternoon with an extremely knowledgeable friend. Thank you, Christopher!I made a last minute detour to Aix-en-Provence in February, hoping to explore Cezanne's footsteps and the city. To my chagrin, everything was closed for low season and there wasn't much I could see/do. Since I was short on time, I frantically looked for a tour so that my visit wouldn't be in vain...
I made a last minute detour to Aix-en-Provence in February, hoping to explore Cezanne's footsteps and the city. To my chagrin, everything was closed for low season and there wasn't much I could see/do. Since I was short on time, I frantically looked for a tour so that my visit wouldn't be in vain. Christopher accommodated my last minute booking for a half-day tour (made the night before) and met me the next morning. The tour was a thorough, overview of the history of the city. Christopher took me all over the city on foot and answered every question I had about Aix-en-Provence and France in general. I highly recommend this tour or any tour that OohProvence provides.Chris from Ooh Provence was superior in every way. Gave us a private custom tour. If not, he emailed us later with links to give us more information. We got lost on the way to meet him so he came to us. Helped us find our car at the end of the tour. If you want a custom tour Chris is the best. Our half day tour with Laurent was absolutely wonderful. He is extremely knowledgable, wonderfully amusing and guided us through parts of Aix that we would have never discovered on our own. We have forgotten many our our guided tours. This one we will remember.

Although my husband and I know a great deal about France (having lived for 2 years in Paris and taking nearly annual trips in the country since 1985), we learned a lot about the history of Aix-en-Provence that we didn't know and did so with a very knowledgeable and charming guide, Christopher. With only one other couple along and a nice, relaxed pace we could enjoy what he pointed out to us and stop and engage in questions and discussions about the topic. Rather than rote delivery that you so often see with tour guides, Christopher's approach made it seem he was just delivering his extensive knowledge to 4 of his best friends in a natural and charming way. In addition, he offered some cool tips for street photography (my photos applying some of his suggestions are attached to this review). My husband and I rarely do tours, finding them a bit boring but this one, so glad we did it! Thank you, Christopher!
