After about two hours you will arrive in La Spezia where your guide will take you into the train station to board the first train to Manarola. The train takes about ten minutes.

MANAROLA is an ancient fishing village where you can admire the houses leaning one against the other and stroll along the narrow cobble alleyways and sheltered paths. You will have approximately one hour of free time to explore this quaint town.

We were picked up on time at our Hotel in the center of Montecatini and taken to the train station to await the tour bus from Florence. Within minutes it was there and we were on our way to Cinque Terre. Stopped at several of the towns, with time to walk around and take photos. At Monterooso we had more time and had a fabulous lunch on our own. Glad I went in March, as I can just imagine what the tourism must be like in the area during the summer months.Yvonne_S
