Enjoy marvelous views of its sparkling blue sea, the impeccable homes stacked upon each other, and the green grapevines towering in the distance. Your guide will happily point out the best viewpoints for photos (Manarola is very famous on Instagram, its views are incomparable!). You will have about an hour of free time to explore this picturesque town as you please.

From Manarola, your guide will lead you back to the train station to head to the nearby town of Vernazza. The train will take less than ten minutes, and then you will have about 1 hour of free time in this lovely waterfront town. Make your way to the small, picturesque harbor, also called "the Pearl of Cinque Terre." If you are lucky, you will witness the local fisherman arriving back from their morning fishing in small blue boats. This was a thoroughly bad experience from start to finish and a great way to ruin a vacation. Seats on bus were wet, cramped and mine was non functional. When we got off the train at the first stop Manarola we had 45 minutes to get out of the train station, through the town and back to the station. It was rushed and not enjoyable. In Monterossa after lunch we met at 1:45 to get on the boat portion of the trip. The boat departed at 2:15 and docked at 2:22 at Vernazza. This was a joke of a boat ride and was very misleading . We had 45 minutes in Riomaggiore and then got back on the train for the ride to La Spezia where the bus was located. When we left the train station for the bus the guide was so far ahead we could not see him. He left 8 people off the bus and a women saw the bus, stepped out in front of it and made it stop. 6 of the 8 people got on then. 2 miles later the guide had the bus turn around to go back and get the other two he forgot. He did not do a head count. All in all the tour was rushed, poorly organized by the guide and not worth the money!!Cinque Terre is breathtaking and our guide Marta Michi was fabulous! We had a lovely lunch in Monterosso that we signed up for. The bus ride was comfortable.

By not going with these thieves. £99 for a shoddy day's experience. Guide with limited knowledge, and even less interest. "Lunch"was a joke, about 5 Euros worth of poor quality rubbish - one of the party returned to the restaurant after the "meal" to find the guide tucking into a slapup repast that bore no relation to what we poor dupes were served. The so called boat trip became 07 minutes actual sailing time, and the crew were incredibly rude. I think it is a shame as the Cinque Terra area IS lovely, but this company are cynical rip off artists, guilty of misrepresentation at the very least. Total value of services delivered, maybe 40 Euros at best. Tripadvisor should serve its clients better by not offering this tat.Cinque Terre was everything we expected it to be, beautiful coastal area with small shops and restaurants, wonderful scenery and friendly people. Cinque Terre was everything we expected it to be, beautiful coastal area with small shops and restaurants, wonderful scenery and friendly people. English is spoken in most places and was never an issue during our entire trip around Northern Italy! Montecatini: we stayed here in a beautiful older hotel, the statues, plaza, spas, shops made this an amazing place to be! Take the train or drive up to Montacatini Alto for a view like no other, there are restaurants and history galore in the small town!First and foremost, our guide Valentina was fantastic! First and foremost, our guide Valentina was fantastic! She was very well organized, informative, helpful, friendly, hugely enthusiastic - and Cinque Terre did not disappoint. This is a 4 star review rather than 5 because of the description on Viator. It states the duration as approx 11 hours, including travel time. We booked from a smaller city. Our booking did not indicate that we were joining an existing tour originating in another city. This makes sense & we had no problem with this - it was great to meet other travelers. However, the duration was for the originating city leaving us the impression we’d have longer visits to each of the villages. This extra time would have been welcome.
