Chobe Full day Safari: Game Drive & Boat Safari with Lunch
Overview
Located in the north of the country, Chobe is Botswana's third largest park, has its main geographical features of lush flood plains and dense woodland of mahogany, teak and other hardwoods now largely reduced by heavy elephant pressure. The Chobe River which flows along the Northeast border of the park, is a major watering spot, especially in the dry season (May through October) for large breeding herds of elephants, as well as families of giraffe, sable and cape buffalo. The flood plains are the only place in Botswana where the puku antelope can be seen. Birding is also excellent here. Large numbers of carmine bee eaters are spotted in season. When in flood various species of stork, duck and other waterfowl flock to the area. This is likely Chobe's most visited section, in large part because of its proximity to the Victoria Falls. The town of Kasane, situated just downstream, is the most important town of the region and serves as the northern entrance to the park.

Day 1: Chobe National Park Full Day Safari
Stop At: Chobe National Park, Chobe National Park, North-West District
You will be picked up at your hotel between 0800hrs to 0830hrs and transferred to the the gate of the Chobe National Park. The guide will take you through various pats of the paths. Several wild animals can be spotted there with lions, elephants and buffaloes popular sightings. After 3 hours you will exit the park for lunch of the day.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Chobe River
On full stomach, it will be time for a boat safari on the Chobe River. The river is rich in birdlife and present amazing views of animals as they come and drink. The safari will last for 3 hours before you are transferred back to hotel.

The game drive and education from Mr. Sibanda the tour guide was second to none. It was quite an excellent experience. Lifetime memories burnt in my memories. I really had a great time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Cherry on the cake if you get Mr. Sibanda as your tour guide!

We loved the safety tips and awareness the guide provided. He had in-depth knowledge of the park and animal behaviour. I was particularly afraid of elephants, but his high level of knowledge, responsibility and confidence made to relax and enjoy the scenery and photography. He was prepared and willing to take time to allow us to where we wanted (since this wasn't my first time in the park) and he would suggest to us places that may be appealing to us. We also loved the driving experience and the comfort of the vehicle. Overall, the trip was exceptional and satisfactory. We would loved to book another with him soonmichellT3280WR

I have done this Day Trip with Rodgers. We had a very good day and very nice weather. I was on this tour with a couple of Americans and 2 German girls. We have seen lots and lots of very beautiful wild animals : Giraffes, kudus, zebras, birds of all colors, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, hipp...
I have done this Day Trip with Rodgers. We had a very good day and very nice weather. I was on this tour with a couple of Americans and 2 German girls. We have seen lots and lots of very beautiful wild animals : Giraffes, kudus, zebras, birds of all colors, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, hippos, and the best of all lots of lions. I went 5 days in the Kruger National Parc and I did see only 1 lion very far away. I think these lions really like Rodgers, because they were waiting for him. I took wonderful pictures of these beautiful lions standing at 4 meters of our Land Cruiser. This car is very comfortable. Afterwards, we had a very nice lunch buffet in the Cresta Mowana Safari Resort and Spa. The food was excellent, and I even had a nice plate of cheese, which for a French person is very important !!! After, we went on the boat to do a very nice trip around Sedudu Island. Again, we have seen a lot of animals: Giraffes, kudus, birds of all colors, elephants, bufalos, hippos ... and very big crocodiles at 1 meter of our boat. After 2 days in Addo Elephant Park and 5 days in Kruger, I can say that this Tour was the best one. Thanks a lot Wild Africa Safaris, and Rodgers for this TOP Chobe Dull day safari. I will never forget it and will show to all my family all these beautiful pictures. MichelMonika_O

Wir haben uns kurzfristig vor unserer Reise anstatt eines jeweils 3-stündigen Gamedrives , bzw. Bootsfahrt für einen ganztägigen Gamedrive im Chobe Nationalpark mit Rodgers entschieden. Das war wohl die beste Entscheidung während unserer Reise durch Botswana und Namibia. Dadurch, dass in den ers...
Wir haben uns kurzfristig vor unserer Reise anstatt eines jeweils 3-stündigen Gamedrives , bzw. Bootsfahrt für einen ganztägigen Gamedrive im Chobe Nationalpark mit Rodgers entschieden. Das war wohl die beste Entscheidung während unserer Reise durch Botswana und Namibia. Dadurch, dass in den ersten beiden Sitzreihen in Rodgers Jeep die Mittelsitze durch Kisten ersetzt wurden, in denen man Fernglas, Fotoapparat, Jacken etc. sicher unterbringen kann, fühlt man sich von Anfang an gut aufgehoben. Zusätzlich dazu gab es für die doch sehr frischen Morgentemperaturen angenehme wind- und kälteabweisende Ponchos, um die uns die Insassen der anderen Autos extrem beneidet haben. Wir waren zu viert als Familie unterwegs und Rodgers ist den ganzen Tag auf unsere Wünsche bzgl. Sichtungen, Fotostopps und Pausen eingegangen. Zu Mittag gab es keine 08/15 Sandwiches, sondern noch am Morgen frisch gekochtes Essen. Durch Rodgers ruhige, angenehme Art haben wir neben den unglaublichen vielen Tiersichtungen auch noch sehr viel über die Natur in der Region erfahren. Auch wenn ich mir einen Ganztagesausflug anfangs nur sehr schwer vorstellen konnte, so war die Zeit im Park trotz allem fast noch zu kurz. Ich kann diesen fantastischen Tagesausflug nur wärmstens empfehlen und bedanke mich bei Rodgers nochmals für diesen unvergesslichen Tag. Wir kommen gerne wieder!71veronicami

I colori dei tramonti e delle albe, ma sopratutto la quantità di elefanti e ippopotami che abbiamo visto credo che resterà u’esperienza indimenticabile. Potrete assistere a scene quotidiane avendo l’impressione di vivere dentro un documentario.

1日目ボートクルーズ、2日目ゲームドライブに行きました。 ボートクルーズは動物も景色もたくさん見られたし、風も気持ちよくて最高でした！ ゲームドライブもライオン、キリン、シマウマ、インパラ...などなどたくさんの動物が見られて満足です！運が良かった！！ 終わりの時間が近づいてきていても動物が見つかったら車を止めてくれて、最終的には時間オーバーしてました 笑 ロジャースありがとう！笑 早朝は寒くて動物も少なかったので、日が出て少し暖かくなってからの時間帯がおすすめです。
