- Café Byron, perfect place for a tasty pit-stop at 50m
- The castle is NOT adapted for wheelchairs. However, 2 audiovisual terminals with 8 short-films about the castle's history are at disposal of the less mobile visitors in the cafeteria.
- Baby-changing table available.
- Near public transportation
- Strollers prohibited : to visit the castle, please leave your stroller in the cafeteria (unsupervised) and prefer baby-carriers.
- Limited number of berths in front of the castle for private vessels. (depth of water shallow).
- Pets are not admitted in the Castle. However, places are reserved for them at the entrance .
- Dress code required by our regulations: entry refused to anyone who arrives topless, in bathing suits and/or bare feet.

Enjoyed seeing how people lived in the middle ages. Excellently furnished with period pieces. A must see, only if you check out the privy that drops many feet down into the lake!

Chillon Castle is an island castle perched on the banks of Lake Geneva. The water castle is the most visited historic building in Switzerland. Ideally located with breath-taking views of the surrounding Alps, the castle is set amidst a lovely picturesque background. On the inside I find that it is not so interesting, perhaps I am not much of a castle enthusiast. There is a charge of CHF12.50 entrance fees.Was staying in Montreux and walked here along the lakeside. It's a decent walk but it's worth it. Fascinating and informative and well worth the visit
