Highly recommend Amigo Tours for this trip, fantastic service, collected on time from our hotel which wasn’t on the timetable but they allowed us to pay slightly more and picked up and dropped off at our hotel, which was a great relief as it’s our first time in Mexico. The trip itself was very interesting, packed with very interesting things to see and do. A good mix, not just another site seeing tour. Our guide Yuam and our driver were amazing, felt very safe, could leave bags on the coach without anything going missing. We were on a coach of mainly Spanish speaking people but felt part of the group and the translation was good, interesting and funny.Excellent tour guide Albeto who showed us around the Mayan temples at Chichen Itza. Very well organised and fun but a very long day and hot weather. Cenote was beautiful and refreshing and the lunch was very tasty! We would do this again! :)

As you cannot rent there

The Day was excellent, Esther was a fantastic guide. From start to finish we really enjoyed the day. Her love and knowledge of the Mayan culture made the day unforgettableThe tour was long, a whole 12hrs prepare for that. Well worth it. Chichen itza and the cenote made up for it hands down. The driver and guide were amazing very professional and respectful. Four dots because they were half hour late at meeting spot in the morning.

There was a lot to see in a single day, which was good and bad. If you are very interested in Mayan history and want an in-depth tour of Coba and Chichen Itza, this tour is not for you, since you only get to see a small portion of the ruins at both sites. Valladolid was barely a stop since we needed extra time to see Chichen Itza given to busy holiday week (easter). However, if you just want to see highlights of the ruins this tour is a good value. The best parts of the tour were being taxied by bicycle through the Coba ruins early in the day as some of the first people arriving, comparing the architecture at Coba vs the more sophisticated versions at Chichen Itza, and the wonderful cool dip in the cenote. Worst part was the lunch buffet, the food was mediocre and bland, and beverages not included and expensive. Bring lots of water and snacks as the day is long and lunch comes at the very end. The bus ride is also very long and expect some jostling if you are seated at the back! We had an extra adventure due to construction on the highway, which took us down some extra bumpy roads.
