Overview
Tour the impressive archaeological complex of Chichén Itzá and discover a ceremonial center of the Maya civilization. Then, go to the sacred sinkhole Saamal and end with a buffet meal in the restaurant.
Upon arrival at Chichén Itzá, look at the step pyramid of Kukulcan (El Castillo), known for the play of light from the equinox that casts shadows on each step to create an image of a serpent descending.
Go to an ancient cenote and experience one of the sinkholes that form part of a network of underground rivers sacred to the Maya people. Enjoy a delicious buffet meal and take a stroll around the colonial city of Valladolid to complete your experience.

VERY expensive for what it was. Was thinking that we would get a lot for the money we paid, maybe even a local lunch, when we were told that we would get back at about 330. VERY expensive for what it was. Was thinking that we would get a lot for the money we paid, maybe even a local lunch, when we were told that we would get back at about 330. But when we realised it was a drive there, and a drive back, and a boat ride and how much it would have cost if we had just driven there (we had a hire car) and paid for the boat ride ourselves, we were shocked at the price of this tour; we felt totally ripped off. Its very easy to drive there from Villahermosa and our nervousness about doing it under our own steam was just because we couldn't see how to book the boat online but you can just email them.
