Charyn canyon
Overview
Upon arriving you will walk along a path through the canyon (2.6 km) and will be able to see the formations that look like castles, and many other wonders, as well as enjoy sitting beside the Charyn river.
Then you will go to the observation deck where you can see the panorama of the canyon and take the best pictures of this site.
You will never forget the beauty of this amazing place!

Charyn Canyon is a small version of Grand Canyon in USA. You will walk along a path through the canyon and will be able to formations that look like castles, and many other wonders, as well as enjoy sitting beside the Charyn river. You will never forget the beauty of this amazing place!
9:00 - Departure from hotel to Charyn canyon. During the tour you will be escorted by our professional guide. They will teach you about the history and cultural facts.
12:00 - Lunch in a village You will see a life in the village, design of the yurts, taste local food and horse milk. You will have an opportunity to feel and taste nomad's lifestyle.
13:00 – Arrive at the canyon 3 km walking tour inside canyon. Plenty of beautiful views and interesting legends. Many great photo opportunities!
15:00 - Departure to Almaty.
17:30 -18:00 Arrive at your hotel

Thoroughly recommend this tour. I had a great time, the canyon is beautiful and learned a lot about Kazakhstan and it's culture. Everything was handled very well.

A great discovery, we walked down and up what I recommend to get the whole view and feeling. We had a great day accompanied by a nice guide and a nice driver. My advice for others : do not book on tripadvisor or viator. Description is not correct and there are taxes.

We hiked through the canyon and she told me everything I needed to know about it. Later, we had a nice conversation about Kazakh culture at a tasty restaurant.
