What to expect
Discover, cook and experience the most iconic Italian dishes with expert home cooks in their own homes. This is a shared cooking class held in a carefully selected local home in Bari. Our Cesarine (the name of our hosts) will welcome you like part of the family and will teach you their family cooking secrets for an authentic culinary experience.

- Please note that our Cesarine are ready and thrilled to host you in their homes! All Cesarine are always very careful and attentive of the important sanitary rules needed, even more now! The homes provide all the essential sanitary equipment for the guests (paper towels for washing hands, hand sanitizing gel and so on). Remember to always maintain 1 meter distance from each other and if not, wear masks and gloves.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

My girlfriend and I decided we wanted to learn how to make pasta the southern way, so we booked Anna for the afternoon. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Anna greeted us at the door and after a few minutes of getting to know each other we headed for the kitchen. We started with making tiramisu. Easier than we thought. After the tiramisu, we started making the dough for the orecchiette and cavateli. That’s where the work began. Anna knew when to let us do the work and when to step in and show us different ways of doing it. After an aperitivo, we sat down to a wonderful dinner with local delicacies and of course local wine. Anna was very engaging and delight to share the evening with.Christiania was so informative and so patient with us. Nona came to help out and she was such a treat! The hospitality was over the top. We were not rushed and just felt so at home the food was so delicious! Definitely would recommend!

We truly enjoyed the cooking class with our Cesarine Sara, it actually felt more as a family event than a class. We were welcomed by an Aperitivo with variety of dishes and after some food and chat we started cooking. Cooking was fun and Sara’s family participated in the process as well which gave us an impression of what cooking in a real Italian family feels like. Sara accommodated our dish wishes as we opted for vegetarian options and she chose some typical dishes from the Bari area that we weren’t familiar with. Communication was easy as Sara speaks some English and her children speak English really well. We definitely recommend cooking together with Sara and hope to cook with her one day again.
