Cesarine: Private Pasta Class at Local's Home in Messina
Overview
During the lesson, the local home cook will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic regional pasta recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Each participant will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes. Then, taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of red and white local wines.
This experience is held by Cesarine: Italy’s oldest network of 1000+ home cooks all over the country in more than 500 cities. They are passionate and welcoming hosts that open the doors of their own homes to curious travellers for immersive culinary experiences.

- Please note that our Cesarine are ready and thrilled to host you in their homes! All Cesarine are always very careful and attentive of the important sanitary rules needed, even more now! The homes provide all the essential sanitary equipment for the guests (paper towels for washing hands, hand sanitizing gel and so on). Remember to always maintain 1 meter distance from each other and if not, wear masks and gloves

Attending Maria Costanza’s pasta making class was the highlight of our trip. We were welcomed into her home with such warmth and kindness. The food and wine were out of this world delicious. We had the opportunity to make tagliatelle using her grandmother’s pasta maker and then we had that with her homemade ragu on top…YUM! We learned how to make raviolis with her mixture of swordfish and other goodies that she had made the day before. We also had a chance to make macaroni and cheese which was perfect for the two teens in our party. Our whole family enjoyed being with Maria, her cousin, and her adorable dog Pepe. She utilized many ingredients from her rooftop garden and the flavors were more than I could have imagined. My husband was a little skeptical of this excursion, but I told him he would love it and he definitely did. The food, company, and ambience was an experience our family will never forget.This was an amazing hands on class with all you need to learn yo cook authentic Italian meals… loved every minute of it - highly recommend! yea we ate it at the end.

My evening of pasta making turned into an unexpected fantastic family affair! Rossella was an excellent teacher with her husband and daughter helping with interpreting. Since my Italian and Rossellas English were minimal. As a guest in her beautiful home, I was comfortable and treated like family. We made three different pasta dishes, tagliatelle ravioli and a roast vegetable lasagna that was outstanding! We all sat down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor and ended the meal with perfectly sweet almond cookie that Rossella had made. The entire experience was perfect.What a wonderful experience cooking with Cesarina. She was warm, inviting, and an amazing chef & teacher. We made 3 different pasta dishes from scratch and enjoyed a delicious meal together. If you get the chance, book this tour!
