We spent an afternoon in La Spezia with Daniela, starting with a market visit followed by a tutorial and lunch at her home with her husband Gianni. Daniela is an incredibly sweet and kindhearted person, who was so responsive and patient with me during the leadup to our appointment, answering ques...
We spent an afternoon in La Spezia with Daniela, starting with a market visit followed by a tutorial and lunch at her home with her husband Gianni. Daniela is an incredibly sweet and kindhearted person, who was so responsive and patient with me during the leadup to our appointment, answering questions and going above and beyond to accommodate special requests. She was generous while having us at her home, a fantastic teacher, great conversationalist and an absolutely wonderful cook. We made focaccia (the best we’ve ever had in our lives), fresh gnocchi with tomato sauce and tiramisu, having a blast and with Daniela coaching us all along. Once everything was ready, we continued chatting and ate our scrumptious lunch, together with delicious homemade white wine and limoncello. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and Daniela and Gianni made us feel very welcome. We were staying in Manarola, and it was very convenient getting to and from the lesson. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting the La Spezia / Cinque Terre area.
