Ursala was our guide and it couldn't have been a better experience. The way she connected with everyone and all of the local history and culture she shared was unexpected and made the experience so much more valuable than just a bike ride and opportunity to swim in the unique and ecologically diverse cenotes. This was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend to anyone! There were 12 of us along with our 2 guides, Martin & Kaleb. The very first part of the ride began in some traffic but the guides were excellent at safely getting our group through the intersections. We were in good hands with these guys. Once out of the commercial area of Tulum, the riding was scenic and easy - mostly flat. The ride through the jungle area was very nice and we had a great meal (traditional, local, healthy) with fantastic hosts! The 3 Cenotes were spectacular. Absolutely beautiful! Each had a different vibe but all were refreshing, clear water, and relaxing. The bikes were excellent and well maintained. Mine got a flat and our guide was ready. He changed the tube and I was back on my way in record time. When we got back to Tulum, we were tired and hungry. The guides recommended an incredible local taqueria (best pork I've ever had). I encourage you to contact and reserve time with Tulum Bike Tours if you're in the area! Ask for Martin & Kaleb - they were amazing guides, friendly, and took good care of us!!This tour was amazing! Be prepared to laugh, burn calories, and have a good time!!! You will eat the most amazing healthiest brunch! See amazing waters!! And make sure you try and get Pablo as your tour guide!!!

We booked our bike tour as one of the last additions to our trip, wanting to make sure that we had some experiences lined up and paid for ahead of time without overextending ourselves on vacation. I can say that this last-minute add became the most memorable experience of our short vacation. Our guide, Pablo, was knowledgeable, thoughtful, funny, kind, and considerate. I imagine that running the same tours day after day could get monotonous, but you'd never know it from meeting Pablo. He takes joy in the daily re-discovery of the breathtaking Sistema Sac Actun. His love for the region is contagious. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. I felt both challenged to step outside of my comfort zone, and safe to maintain my own boundaries. The lunch we had at MeliMelo was far more than I was expecting - a truly boutique experience. About the same time your bum starts to ache from the ride, you pull up to this jungle oasis where you and your party are served a private lunch so thoughtfully curated and lovingly prepared you'll panic, thinking that lunch is extra - it's not, it's included (though at this moment you will look forward to tipping your tour guide at the end of the experience) . Relax and enjoy your cinnamon-infused coffee and rosemay-infused honey. After lunch you'll explore the grounds with the raised beds and fruit trees that made your lunch possible. You might even see a toucan! We did! The cenotes are glorious and refreshing, and it's true that you can visit them without this tour, but when people ask about my favorite vacation moment, I tell them that it's the moment when I was riding a mountain bike through the jungle and found myself surrounded by a hundred tiny dark-purple butterflies. You won't find that moment on Instagram - it's nothing you can set out to recreate - but you are far more likely to find these moments by stepping outside of your comfort zone so that they can find you. In the words of Hunter S. Thompson, "Buy the ticket, take the ride". A gian thank you to Pablo and the team at Tulum Bike Tours! This was such a fun experience! Pablo was a wonderful storyteller and I loved learning about the biodiversity and everything else. This was such a fun experience! Pablo was a wonderful storyteller and I loved learning about the biodiversity and everything else. I was super nervous mountain biking as I’m not an experienced cyclist (last time I was on a bike was 3 years ago) but I had a great time. I was going slower than everyone else but Caleb was always by my side making me feel safe and not rushed. He even said he could help to push me on the bike when I got too tired 😂 Overall we had an excellent day with delicious food along the way!
